Meet OKWORO ISREAL CLEMENT (MR. Integrity) - * Defying Limitations*

It is often said that "the secret of a man is in his story. When the secret has to do with success, it naturally attracts interest; then there is ample need for it to be chronicled, if not for anything else, at least as a reference point for the future".

*ISREAL IKWORO* through his success story has equipped us without a doubt that he is a virtuous Man who draws his strength and courage from the Almighty God. Being a Candidate for the Office of *FINANCIAL SECRETARY* in the forthcoming *STUDENTS UNION GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS, IN THE RIVERS STATE UNIVERSITY* there is a strong desire to critically preview his track records.

*ISREAL IKWORO * is a 200level Student in Plant science and biotechnology Department, Faculty of Sciences, Rivers State University. As ordained by creation, he is a native of Okoroboile - Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State. He was born into the Family of CHIEF Mr/ Mrs. Okworo clement. Bobby as fondly called by his family, was raised by both parent who painstakingly inculcated in him the Sterling values of hard work, discipline, and honesty.

*ISREAL IKWORO* while in his 200 level, through a foundation he initiated - Scholars Voice Movement (SVM) - launched a 7 day program which he tagged; "reachout2021" which was aimed at spreading love to the students community just after the covid'19 break. This campaign which recorded participation from so many students of the university who took turns in expressing their gratitude to him for his kind gesture and at the same time expressing their surprise at the genuineness of the giveaway outreach. Israel gave all he said he would and even more.

A great philosopher once posited that " Some people are born great while some have greatness thrust in them. Available facts and evidence persuade us to be convinced that *ISREAL OKWORO* was born great and that destiny had prepared him vehemently for greatness and leadership from early childhood.

First, He was the public Relations officer in his department and later the financial secretary of the youth wing church of a parish in the diocese of EVO And at that time, records have proven that he was able to co-ordinate the affairs of the Department. He was able to uphold the efficacy and standards in the absence of the President. In his time, the department attended a Conference in Abuja and he was among the delegation and fortunately he was appointed to represent them and compete with other notable church branches in a Quiz and debate. A competition where he emerged as the first runner up.

Still, in leadership and morals, he was the senior prefect (BOYS), president Jet club and debate club in holy child college in the year 2016 at a very tender age, due to his innovative characteristics, he came up with the maiden edition of " Leadership 101 Summit" and he Consistently contributed to the growth and sustainability of the people.

The story of *ISREAL OKWORO* defying limits is one that has showcased a high level of discipline and honesty. It is a story where hope replaces despair, where audacity replaces fear, and above all, gives credence to the fact that those who are set out to change the narrative will settle for no excuses.

Ernesto as he's fondly called by friends, admirers and colleagues is widely known for your unwavering bravery, conviction in hard work, accountability and honesty in delivering quality and effective representation to what task you are given.

Brother, in one year of you working with me as MY SA ON MEDIA. I have taking cognizance of your numerous strides, witty contributions and resourcefulness on the role you have played towards reviving sports in RSU through the media and your personal advice to me. permit me to assert that you have contributed enormously and in no small measures to the growth and betterment of Rivers state university sports and beyond.

On this day marking the natal renaissance of your birth, i want to enthusiastically say that the future holds a lot of positive expectations for you. I see unlimited capacity and excess joy.

Permit me to use this opportunity to humbly express my sincerest gratitude to the dean students affairs, High chief comr. Isaac zebb opibi, associate Dean students affairs and the entire students of our prestigious university for the enormous supports you gave me from 1st sept, 2018 when i assume office till 1st sept, 2019. I really lack the right adjective to describe my feelings and happiness. It is stated in one book tittle "AS YOU LIKE IT" written by Williams Shakespeare that "the world is like a stage" and indeed Rivers state University SUG is indeed a stage upon which i appear as an executive member 2018/2019 session.

ACHIEVEMENTS:
I would say that some achievements came through because of some of your efforts and not mine alone. I and my committee achieved the following:

1. We first made efforts to restore, awake, inspire, nurture, the spirit of sports on campus.

2. We made sure all sports was fully exploited and felt.

3. We made sure Rivers state university successfully registered and participated in the West Africa university Games that was held in Uniport and we won a bronze medal in CHESS.

4. We organize Xmas unity Games between SUG, SRC, SJC, RSU ENTERTAINERS AND the students community. At the end Xmas cards, gift, awards, and certificates was distributed to everyone who participated.

5. successfully registering and participation of Teams Rivers state university School football team (RSU DOLPHINS) in the ongoing higher institution football league and also taking the team to round of 16 in the competition despite appearing for the very first time.

6. We also embark on a constructive and consolidation talk with the management to lift the ban that was placed on the school football team for about 2years before my emergence, and finally the band was lifted.

7. We liased with the school management for FREE HOSTEL ACCOMODATION FOR SPORTS MEN and for the first time in 13 years it was achieved. 8 rooms was released to sports men and it was shared accordingly to them without myself even taking a bed space. I charge my successor to strive to get more.

8. We carried out team recruitment across all facets of sports and we also embarked on "OPERATION GET INVOLVED IN SPORTS"

9. We embarked on project building a formidable school team across all facets of sports that will represent us at NUGA. Now am confident that with the set of players we have now team RSU will do very well in NUGA This time around.

10. For the first time in so many years sports equipments was purchase and released to us across all facets of sports. We now have sports equipment for tennis, table tennis(tennis board and bat) football, badminton, taekwondo, swimming, chess, scrabble, athletes, basketball, volleyball etc.

11. We also liased with the school management to ensure that incentives and benefits were attached to every registered sports men in RSU and as God may have it allowances during external competition and camping of players was increased. Portal access fee was also paid for some players who couldn't pay that participated in the ongoing HIFL as a way of encouraging them to do their best for the university.

12. We liased with the management to appoint coaches That are well experience across all facets of sports and we give God the glory because it was a success.

13. We organized a colourful RSU SOCCER FANS COMPETITION ,sports week tagged: "MEGA SPORTS FIESTA" indoor games: "INDOOR GAMES THE PATHWAY TO INTELLIGENT QUOTIENT. All this were aimed and targeted at developing and promoting grassroot sports.

14. We call for first ever football team recruitment, open scouting and screening in RSU and we also embark on beginners training across all facet of sports.

15. We enforced Wednesday "FREE DAY FOR SPORTS 12PM - 6PM) and we also made sure that the time stipulated for sports was not abuse.

16. Revamping of indoor games Hall and provision of chairs, table for indoor games through the supports of our amiable past Vice chancellor and Prof. Vipene ( RSu director of sports)

17. We organized a friendly match with UNIUYO in my first 1mónth in office and other universities like IAUE, NDU, PH POLY as well as singlehandedly registering more than 5 teams in RSU for the
Neymar 5 aside competition held in port harcourt.

18. We liased with the management to stop outsiders and intruders from gaining access to our fields, courts and facilities, so that our facilities will only be used by our students and this was finally approved by our Acting vice chancellor, God bless you ma.

19. We also promote equality in sports by organizing female competition during RSU SOCCER FANS COMPETITION, SPORTS WEEK, FEMALE FACULTY FOOTBALL FRIENDLY MATCH.

20. We increased internal and external media coverage of the performances and activities of our sports team, club, athletes through embarking on SPORTS MEDIA TOUR to let the students understand the importance of sports in thier lives.

We gave out free boots, training kits for players and athletes and we also introduce RSU sports page on all social media platform.

I will not forget to appreciate my committee, the sports unit RSU, all the school team across all facets of sports , the captains of various teams, faculty, departments, ethnic house director of sports, friends, well wishers and my boss prof. Vipene for your supports in your various capacities. the breakthrough we achieved together all for the betterment of our dear university. I say "thank you"

Lastly, i wish congratulate my son Okereke Wisdom my successor and the new elected exceutives led by comr. Pepple Precious Pepple i wish you all a safe drive throughout your tenure. I pray God give you all the grace to deliver.
