This past April, we proudly joined the global community in celebrating World Safety Day, a time to reflect, learn, and strengthen our commitment to safety across every level of our operations. The initiative was spearheaded by our HSE Team, who ensured that this year’s theme was not only communicated but fully experienced across the organization.

During the session, Engr. Faith Nuate (MNSE, MNISafetyE, SIIRSM) engaged and enlightened our team on critical safety practices and perspectives. The experience went beyond a typical session, as we incorporated interactive activities including safety games, quizzes on procedures, and a hazard hunt exercise where participants identified and corrected potential risks within our premises. It was designed to keep everyone actively involved and learning by doing.

What made the experience even more impactful was the full participation of management, who were involved every step of the way, demonstrating that safety is a shared responsibility at all levels, not an obligation placed on a few. As we move forward, the message remains clear. Safety is not a one day event, but a continuous culture we must all uphold.
