Today we continue to pray for these children and every child who is at the mercy of someone’s wickedness. We pray that God will rescue, deliver, heal and restore them. Amen🙏

And may we never be found in a place where we have dined with the wicked and can no longer speak against the evil that they do. God is a God of justice.

I was hoping there will be a mass protest today and was willing to join but I guess we just pray.

I almost did not post today because I keep looking at my kids and can’t stop thinking about those little kids. I saw the images

I, as an individual don’t know what to do to change this country. Except to do my own small part to love people.
So we keep praying. Let’s all pray for Nigeria.

And let’s do our marriage well, those kidnappers who treated kids like that came from a home. Every behavior is first modeled from a home. Lack of Love is the foundation of every form of evil

Father we ask that you rescue those kidnapped and heal them. Let your mercy prevail. My heart bleeds so much 😭

I remember one morning when my husband and I kept correcting each other and picking on everything. We hated each other half the whole day that day because see, you can’t correct someone to loving you.

Connection over correction wins all the time. Couples wake up already scanning for what the other person did wrong or what to correct and adjust. We are constantly hyper vigilant on where our spouse is going wrong.

Trust me, that husband who gets corrected five times before breakfast? He’s not thinking, “You’re right, let me improve.” He’s thinking, “I can’t do anything right around here.” And same goes for wife..or even kids.

The hard truth I share with couples in session is; You cannot correct your way back to connection. But connection first will invite self-correction.

When someone feels seen, respected, and emotionally safe, they naturally want to show up better for you.

So this Monday morning, have you connected? Before you start lecturing them or nitpicking their every action.
