Here’s a question for network marketers:

What if your problem isn’t that you’re not getting enough attention?

What if you’re getting attention from the wrong people?

You can have thousands of views and still generate very little business.

Why?

Because attention isn’t the same as qualified interest.

Your content should make the right person think:

“He’s talking about exactly what I’m dealing with.”

That’s when content starts doing something more powerful than simply generating likes.

It starts creating conversations.

And conversations create opportunities.

Don’t just create content to be seen.

Create content that attracts the people you actually want to talk to.

I believe there are 3 types of network marketers.

1. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒔𝒆𝒓

Constantly messaging people, following up and trying to convince prospects.

2. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓

Always buying another course, watching another training and downloading another tool.

𝟑. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫

Creates content, builds relationships, attracts the right people and develops a simple system they can consistently execute.

Which one are you becoming?

There’s nothing wrong with learning.

There’s nothing wrong with following up.

There’s nothing wrong with reaching out.

The problem is when these activities become a substitute for actually building a business.

Knowledge is only valuable when it changes what you do.

𝑶𝒏𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒊𝒈𝒈𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝑰 𝒔𝒆𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒕𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒌𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆?

Trying to convince everyone.

Someone says:

“I’m not interested.”

And we start explaining.

They say:

“I don’t have money.”

We start overcoming objections.

They say:

“I’ll think about it.”

We follow up five more times.

But here’s the shift I want you to consider:

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞.

Your job is to identify people who already have a problem, desire a solution, and are willing to have a conversation.

That’s a completely different way of looking at prospecting.

Stop asking:

“𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒅𝒐 𝑰 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏?”

Start asking:

“𝑰𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒂 𝒇𝒊𝒕?”

That one shift can change the way you approach your business.

But what happens when you create content around a problem people already have?

Something changes.

The right people start paying attention.

They become curious.

They ask questions.

They raise their hands.

That’s the difference between chasing prospects and attracting qualified prospects.

𝑰𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 “𝑵𝒐” 𝒊𝒏 𝒏𝒆𝒕𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒌𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔.

Imagine sending 20 messages.

3 people respond.

One says:

“I’m not interested.”

Another says:

“Let me think about it.”

And the other disappears completely.

So you send more messages.

Then more.

And eventually you start thinking:

“𝙈𝙖𝙮𝙗𝙚 𝙄’𝙢 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨.”

But rejection doesn’t necessarily mean you’re bad at network marketing.

Sometimes you’re simply talking to the wrong people, at the wrong time, with the wrong approach.

The goal shouldn’t be to convince everyone.

The goal should be to create a way for interested people to identify themselves.

That’s a completely different mindset.

Being extremely busy and getting absolutely nowhere.

Watching another training.

Buying another tool.

Downloading another marketing template.

Joining another webinar.

Taking another course.

Reading another book.

All of these things can be useful.

But here’s the question:

Are they actually helping you build your business?

𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒚.

There, I said it. 😂

A lot of distributors are taught:

“Make a list of 100 people.”

“Start with your warm market.”

“Call your friends.”

“Tell your family.”

And there’s nothing inherently wrong with talking to people you know.

The problem comes when 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝒃𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒅𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒍𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒚 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘.

Eventually, the list runs out.

Then what?

You either start chasing people…

or you start wondering whether you’re actually cut out for network marketing.

I believe there’s a better conversation to have:
