Happy New Month
March is a month with gentle grace,
It'll bring hope and sunshine to your space.
May laughter bloom, and worries cease,
Happy March but please embrace peace.
May this month, like nature's call,
Inspire your spirit, big and small.
May growth abound, and dreams take root,
In this March, please bear joyful fruits.
May this month, with its playful cheer,
Chase away the shadows for joy to appear.
May kindness bloom, and spirits soar,
Happy new month, now and forevermore.
Are you ready and set for the forthcoming Inter House Sports competition?
If you blink, you'll miss again. Many have benefitted from previous editions and many missed as well. But I encourage you to take part this time around.

The Board of Trustees, Governing Council and the Management of Heritage College sincerely appreciate everyone who was part of the historic event on Friday 18th November 2022 which saw the College coming out with the First Position among all the secondary schools Akwa Ibom in the quiz competition organized by the Sanitation and Health Workers Association of Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State Chapter to mark the 2022 World Toilet Day. This was never a mean feat. You have made us proud. You have also proven that we really mean what we say when we say that we are building a new generation of leaders.
We appreciate Mr Christopher Umoren (the Head Teacher), Mr Mfoniso Offiong (the Compound Master), Mrs Kate Basset (the Compound Mistress and Head of Department, Home Economics) and our great ambassadors, the students who took part in the quiz. Your labour for the College is well acknowledged. With a carefully selected team at the College, we will continue to explore and expose both the staff and students to more of such opportunities.
Once again, congratulations. More wins to the College.

The essay competition above is sponsored by a young man I personally know to mark his 2022 birthday. I encourage our senior students (SS 1-3) to take part in this. The benefits are many if you happen to win.
Dear parents and guardians, thanks for sending your children to us as we partner with you in creating a reliable future for them. To help us make the job easier, please take note of the following:
1. JS 1-3 offer 10 subjects. So, your child needs at least 10 exercise books (at least 40 leaves) for note taking. He/she also needs 10 20 leaves exercise books for tests.
2. SS 1 students offer 19 subjects. If you have a child in this class, he or she needs 19 notebooks.
3. SS 2-3 students offer specialized subjects chosen based on the child's preferred future career. They offer between 9-10 subjects. Same number of notebooks needed.
4. There are textbooks in all subjects. Buy as many as you can for your children.
5. Every JS 1 and SS 1 and new students in other classes need a Continuous Assessment Booklet in which their results will be entered. A child in the junior section needs one booklet which covers till JS 3 and a child in SS 1 needs one which serves him/her till SS 3. Please get this for you child as early as possible.
6. Know and engage your child's class teacher. He/she can prove a better partner if you are in direct personal contact with him or her.
Do these and see the benefits walk back home with your children on daily basis.
If you are a student of Heritage College but failed to be in school last week, you've already missed a lot. When we said lessons were commencing same day school resumed we didn't just say it. We meant it and those who were in school can testify.
This is yet another week; the second week of resumption. Don't wait again. Start with us and learn along with others.
See you in school tomorrow.
Arising from the pre-resumption meeting held today, Heritage College has made concrete plans and everything has been put in place for seamless resumption on Monday, 12th September 2022. Class teachers had been selected and appointed, slight changes in class location and many other changes had been effected.
On the staff side, everyone is returning except Pastor ThankGod Taylor who has tendered his resignation to pursue personal and private business. A replacement is undergoing the normal recruitment process of the College and will be announced soon. Every necessary condition, resource, material, facility and personnel is in place.
See you in school on Monday.
