Saturday August 16th, 2025 saw the Delta State All Stars Int'l FC welcome All Stars Football Club Ukwuani, Obiaruku to their home turf at the NNPC Housing Complex pitch in a mouth watering game that ended 4-4 on the day with both teams having to settle for a draw.
In a goal fest that saw an improbable comeback from the home team, it was the away team that took the lead early in the first half despite a good start from the home team.
The away team then took over the game, adding a second and a third to end the half with a 3 goal lead. The second half saw the home team come back to life after numerous subs and they quickly got themselves a scrappy goal to pull one back but the away team quickly regained their 3 goal lead.
From here on it looked done and dusted but it was all the home team from this point on as they got a second goal and a third from a brilliant free kick, with the away team now playing to keep their lead but it was the home team who ended the day on a high note with a late 4th goal to draw level and complete the comeback.
A brilliant game, well contested and both teams deservedly taking something out of the game. Two highlights at the end of the game was when both teams came together in a hurdle which showed sportsmanship and togetherness and also, the away team celebrating the recent birthday of the Delta All Star Int'l president, PFAN caretaker Chairman and center referee of the day, Dr. Louis Brown Ogbeifun.
