๐จ๐ช๐ธ La Liga introduces new refereeing rules for the 2026/27 season:
๐ธ VAR will now be allowed to intervene in second yellow card situations, mistaken red card decisions and incorrectly awarded corners. ๐ฅ๏ธ
๐ธ Substituted players must leave the pitch within 10 seconds, otherwise their replacement will have to wait 60 seconds before entering. โฑ๏ธ
๐ธ Players receiving treatment will generally be required to remain off the field for one minute before returning. ๐ค
๐ธ If a goalkeeper stops play for treatment without suffering a foul-related injury, one teammate must also leave the pitch for one minute. ๐งค
๐ธ Throw-ins will be controlled by a strict five-second countdown. โฐ
๐ธ A penalty that is accidentally struck twice will be considered a miss if the ball does not go into the net. ๐ฅ
๐ธ Referees will now publicly announce and explain their final decisions after VAR reviews. ๐ฃ๏ธ
