A group from JMU came down during their spring break. We had an amazing week making swales, learning about Biointensive gardening, cleaning up the property, doing a bit of yoga and making new puppy friends all with FUPROSOMUNIC at their farm out side of Catarina.

Wrapping up this week with our special guest Dalia, a boxer and a coach at East Oakland Boxing Association in California! She came down to Nicaragua with the desire to not only train local young boxers, but surprise them with loads of boxing donations. There aren't enough words to describe the energy you brought and gave to these kids. Thank you for allowing us to join you on this week-long adventure and we hope you had an amazing time here with us. All the best with your upcoming fights Dalia!!

Buenas a todos, les presento a Clare! We welcome Clare who joins us in our Medical program from the University of Pennsylvania's Nursing Program. In her second week at the Centro de Salud Alejandro Dávila Bolaños, Clare has already given subcutaneous injections, intramuscular injections, calculating weights, measuring head circumferences and lengths of babies, cleaning and redressing wounds, PAP smears, and learning how to make cotton balls! Moreover, she's been getting a deeper understanding of how a public clinic operates in a developing country such as Nicaragua. Bienvenidos Clare! We all look forward to hearing more of your amazing stories!
