Into the Desert, tsja je zal er maar zitten deze winter, met dit uitzicht.

Alweer de derde editie van dit avontuur en deze winter gaan we niet 1 maar 2 keer: 5-12 November '26 & 3-10 Februari '27. Waar avontuur en retreat samenkomen. Er is nog plek voor jou om part of the nomads te zijn.

Leef van zonsopgang tot zonsondergang, loop met het ritme van de kamelen, slaap onder de sterren & ervaar de immense 'alles & niks' van de woestijn.

Ik kan niet wachten je te verwelkomen.

𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬⁣

A while ago, at the start of a training, the question "who are you" was asked. Not in what you do, but really in who you are. When it was my turn to speak, I felt into it and someting like this came out : Mmm, Water , mm but also Fire, Yes, Earth. And than I started laughing because I realised I was about to name all the Elements.⁣🌊

It's no coincidence that I started a job at this beachplace called Elements Beach, which later turned out to be the place where I kept running my yogaclasses for six(!) seasons in a row. 🔥

My first classes where themed around Elements, my job stays interesting and surprising because of them, I feel strenghted, inspired and one with them. Because we are the earth, the waters, the fire, the sky & space. We are all of that and more.🌌

Not lying when I say the Elements made me do it: I created this 4 months journey into all parts of you, using the Elements as our guideline. Het ZESDE strandyoga-seizoen staat op het punt om te beginnen: 𝐀𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞 𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐠 𝟏𝟎𝐮𝐮𝐫 en dit vieren we met een Gratis Strandyogales voor iedereen. Daarnaast staat er nog zoveel meer moois op de planning.⁣🔥

Afgelopen week was mijn verjaardag, de big 30! 𝐄𝐧 𝐭/𝐦 𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐠 𝐤𝐚𝐧 𝐣𝐞 𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐞𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐨𝐦𝐭, 𝐚𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐞𝐭 𝐤𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠. Van een losse strandles, tot een workshop en de korting geldt zelfs voor onze 𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐢𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐚𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐢ë 𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝟐𝟓-𝟑𝟏 𝐦𝐞𝐢. Check: www.momoyoga.nl/intoyouacademy⁣

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧..⁣
⁣
The space in between each breath, your thoughts, the space in between Doing’s, space in between the bu****it.. That’s where the magic happens.⁣
⁣
It might be there, where you forget about time, in your music, in your art, dance or any creative expression. Is there even time in life to notice, to experience this space in between? ⁣
⁣
This is where re-treat gets interesting. Because here, you let go of the ‘normal’ doing. And suddenly you get to notice the space in between all there is. Out of your routine, out of all that became your ‘normal’ patterns, choices, people, surroundings . A beautiful canvas opens up. There ‘in between’ where creativity starts to flow, insights hit in and old & new energy can move again. ⁣

And you take that "space in between" with you, home. Exploring, un-covering in your own unique way how to bring it into the lifestyle that you’re living. That’s in the end what it’s really about. You doing you, in any surroundings. ⁣

The space in between gives us change, where we move from indecisiveness to knowing, overthinking versus feeling. From out of the body, into the body.. The space in between.. Not just for a week, but for as long as you choose to stay aware. This is when a retreat becomes a life changer. A training in awareness. A journey into all there is, especially the spaces in between..⁣

𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲⁣⁣

He stopped the truck, this was where he went another direction. Lovely guy, my kind of music, face full of Maori tattoos. First question he asked when he stopped along the road “Does your daddy know you’re doing this”? ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
18 year old me wanted to get to Wellington, later Auckland. For now, I was still on the other island of New Zealand, no plan of course. Not ideal hitchhiking around sunset, but I always had my backpack & tent, so nothing to worry. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
After half an hour or so, a BMW passes with quite wild speed, loud music.. Goes full on brakes and turns around. JEEJ car stopped, seems a little wild, but hee let’s find out. Window opens, I see the guy, feel into it for a moment. Colors and shapes around him tell me he’s a good guy, my body feels calm, OK it’s a yes! Hopped in the car. “I almost didn’t see you, I’ve been hoping all day for a hithchhiker, it's so boring driving along". This guy just picked up his brand new car all the way South and is RACING back now. Had to admit I was getting a little carsick. He laughed so loud “how can you hitchhike when carsick?”, I blamed his driving style of course. He told me the next day he takes the ferry & drives all the way to Auckland in the upcoming days. Ended up staying with this super friendly man for 3 days, he dropped me all the way to some friends and I didn’t throw up in his car. We were both happy. 😂

I hitchiked for several months, I was fully living on my intuition from young age and trusted my own senses 100%. Which led me to the most beautiful encounters, wild rides & nonstop surprises. It taught me trust, surrender and feeling beyond the surface, the looks, the mind.⁣

Time to share 11 things about me:

- Movement has always been my way of expression and emotional release. As a kid I retreated into my ‘dancing room’ when the world was too much. Also a big lover of juicy hip parties where people actually dance.🔥

- I never understood chairs. Yogisquat in any variation is my most comfortable position to sit in.

- My living situation has been quite adventurous. Lived in caravans, empty beach places, anti-kraak, house-sitted on chickens/fish/rabbits. Conclusion: Big houses make me lose all my stuff & the squareness of four walls makes me sad. I have my own place now in a trailer with big garden, next to forest and ocean, which allows me to live in holland during the season and spend winter mostly abroad.

- I get very annoying when I drink Cola or any other substance that contains caffein.🌠

-I can feel very incapable and drained by arranging ‘normal’ human things, while feeling endless source of energy and inspiration when I host classes/sessions/retreats.

- I started backpacking when I was 18. No internet, hitchhiking, camping.. Saw many places, learned about the world. It gave me so much trust in life & fellow humans, as in the strangest situations things turned out perfectly fine.🌎

- As long as I remember, I knew I was gonna do things differently. Different than my family, than society. It never felt like a choice, really a knowing since I set foot on earth.

- I’ve had several years of anxiety and panic attacks, which you wouldn't notice (I was a star in keeping all for myself). Several years of therapy guided me into understanding myself and emotions, yoga came along and taught me to feel and be with the body. The start of my adventure Into me.

- I thrive in natural surroundings, supported by the elements, barefeet among my biggest teachers.🌊

- I find it difficult to explain people about the way I perceive the world. That I see and feel beyond the human shape. How to talk and share about these gifts are my current exploration.

- I still remember the first sun salutation I taught. Like lightning it hit me. THIS IS IT. Never stopped teaching yoga ever since.⚡️

Proud to announce the two big week retreats for the year 2025. Even more proud on myself for planning ahead, hopefully this allows more of you to go on these unique journeys. ⁣Starting with Sardinia end of May & swipe all to the end for another adventure Into the Desert end of this year. Two totally different retreats, both truly special and unique.🔥
⁣
I notice more and more that the hardest part for me in marketing is translation. Translating all my creations, my ideas into words. Into words that make clear what it is I’m doing and sharing. Because the work I do is not square. It’s not ‘just yoga/breath/cacao’. It’s impossible to make it fit in a box like this Instagram thing, a flyer or anything. At the same time it’s necessary and a beautiful challenge for me to give words, so the people for who these creations are, can actually find it. Although I do know, that words are simply not able to capture the experience.✨
