TO A NEW BEGINNING 🌷

With tonight's New Moon in Pisces we start a fresh cycle...

And it feels like a huge weight is lifted from my shoulders.

I nearly lost my joy for teaching yoga.

I felt heart-broken having to check my students' QR-codes to attend my class - which is discriminating and completely against my values. It made me wonder if I should continue teaching at all. Some of my colleagues did take this step and stopped – but in the end I decided it was important for me to keep showing up and making my voice heard.

But luckily as I write this we are coming out on the other side...

The government restrictions are finally being released, here in the Netherlands and in many other countries. While still staying alert… it’s time to reclaim our lives and our freedom!

I'm so happy and relieved to start into this new chapter… 🌿

And I’m feeling a renewed joy and passion for teaching yoga and being together in community.

Would love to see you again in class... practice with me in person in Amsterdam (or online) 💗

RELEASING ALL RESTRICTIONS 🔥

I’ve been a little quiet in the last weeks…

I needed some time to reflect and understand how to move forward. With everything that’s been going on - from lockdowns to QR codes to my country, Austria, turning into a totalitarian regime - I certainly didn’t feel like doing ‘business as usual’. I very much feel that this is a time for us to be alert and AWAKE.

And find our own ways to navigate these intense times.

Right now I’m feeling such a RELIEF as the restrictions are being released in many countries…. No more mouth masks 😷 and distancing!!

The streets of Amsterdam are full of people celebrating the first spring days - and the return of our FREEDOM.

I don’t think it’s over yet… but let’s reclaim our lives and community!

Let’s release any last restrictions from our minds and bodies! And never go back.

It feels like a huge weight is lifted from my shoulders…

FULL MOON IN GEMINI 🌕⁠✨👯‍♀️

⁠Falling into Gemini, the sign of the twins, the last full moon of this year shines a light on the areas of communication, technology, and the mind.

While the sun is in Sagittarius, which is connected to freedom and our beliefs, the full moon falls into the opposite sign of Gemini, which is all about sharing information.

With this full moon, new information and insights might be revealed that could shake what we believed to be true.

We may find ourselves thinking differently or seeing things from a new perspective.

Ruled by Mercury, this air sign moves fast and in all directions, which could also leave us feeling distracted, anxious, or overwhelmed with too much information. Just like the ‘monkey mind’ that keeps jumping around, doesn’t stop, repeating the same old voice in our head.

On 21st December, the Winter Solstice is an auspicious time that marks the turning point in the solar year. It’s the beginning of a new cycle – bringing the rebirth of the light after the longest night in the Northern Hemisphere.

Shortly after on December 24th, just before Christmas Day, the major astrological event of the year will peak again for the third and last time.

A tense aspect between Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Ta**us symbolizes a clash between “the old”, rules and structures with “the new”, freedom and individuality.

Playing out as the major theme of 2021, it’ll be reaching a final peak and completion – so we can expect an interesting holiday season…

The auspicious time of the Solstice brings us the peak of winter with the longest night here in the Northern Hemisphere.

At this time the sun appears to stand still for a few days before we can celebrate the rebirth of the light as we enter a new solar cycle.

The Solstices have been observed with great attention in ancient cultures and are said to be portals for higher frequencies.

This is a time to go inwards and become still.

It's a time to experience the power of rest.

✨ Listen.

✨ Open up to deep healing.

✨ Receive divine guidance.

I haven't felt so unmotivated in a long time...

This week I just felt flat and frankly exhausted. Now I'm finally digging myself back out of this dark hole.

And as I'm writing this I'm so relieved that I feel a spark of inspiration again...

The last days I've been reflecting, resting and giving myself time to emerge whenever feels right.

And while this is a time of the year where it's completely normal to be more tired – this year there's also a real heaviness in the air. I know that so many people are struggling to deal with what's going on... everything keeps changing all the time and there's a lot of confusion, tension and fear.

No wonder if we're exhausted. 🤷‍♀️

Wednesday morning I was teaching my first class in two weeks.

With the new measurements in the Netherlands 4 of my 5 weekly classes had suddenly been cancelled. I realised not only how much I've missed teaching... but also how much we all need it right now! Being together to share this practice, in the intensity of it all, felt so heart-warming and soothing.

I felt rejuvenated on a deep level.

And also reconnected to my calling – and the importance of me showing up in these challenging times. To keep doing my best to stay resilient and look after myself – so I can keep showing up for my beautiful students and clients.

TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE IN SAGITTARIUS 🌚⁠✨🏹

As 2021 comes to a close, December brings some powerful cosmic energy.

We finish Eclipse Season with today’s Total Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius - beginning a new chapter. The Lunar Eclipse end of November has prepared us – asking us to release whatever wasn’t serving anymore before we start fresh.

As the Eclipses triggered the signs of Ta**us and Sagittarius the last weeks might have left us reconsidering our values and our beliefs.

⁠Coming out of the dark waters of Scorpio season, that has asked us to dig deep, we have entered Sagittarius season. With the sun in Sagittarius, we might feel more expansive, optimistic, and adventurous – ready to explore a new way into the future, integrating what we’ve learned.

Ruled by Jupiter, the fiery sign of Sagittarius is about freedom, truth, and our beliefs. Its energy invites us to expand our horizons – through travel, study, or by venturing deeper on our spiritual journey. Sagittarius is the most risk-taking, adventurous sign and as the oldest fire sign, it brings a sense of confidence and boldness.

Represented by the archer, Sagittarius invites us to go beyond what we’ve known – explore new possibilities and seek higher knowledge. It is not an energy that is easily contained, instead, it invites us to take action and dream big.

Today’s Solar Eclipse is a powerful time to set your intentions. As we are entering another paradigm the time has come to create a new world and a new future.
