Yes, in Amsterdam we celebrate Halloween! But one of the favorite celebrations remains the Sinterklaas (saint Nicolas) party. Starting in November with the arrival of the Saint. By boat! From Spain! He parades on a horse through many cities to meet the children. The festivities come to a conclusion with the celebration of his birthday on the 5th of December, after which he leaves the country. In between those days, the man leaves children smaller gifts - at night, in their shoes. 👞👢👟
