The path your Internet traffic takes can change in seconds. ⚡

The RIPEstat's tool, BGPlay, turns BGP routing updates into a visual timeline, helping you see how traffic shifted, where things changed and where troubleshooting should begin.

Before new Internet standards take flight, the community needs a place to test their wings. 🦜

That is where Birds-of-a-Feather (BoF) sessions come in. Ahead of IETF 126 in Vienna, Greg Wood looks at the BoFs on the agenda, where early ideas are tested in the open before they have a chance to grow into formal standards work. 🪹

See which ideas are ready to leave the nest:

What happens to the Internet during a critical subsea cable outage❓

In this Baltic cable outage case, RIPE Atlas measurements helped show how traffic was rerouted, revealing changes in latency and network paths between anchors. ⚓

This is why measurement infrastructure matters. Subsea cables carry the connections that keep countries and communities online. When disruptions happen, RIPE Atlas Anchors help make those routing changes visible, so we can strengthen Internet resilience.

Does your country have enough RIPE Atlas Anchors to make Internet disruptions visible?

Host a RIPE Atlas Anchor and help improve Internet measurement and resilience in your region.

What happens behind the scenes on the Internet when millions of fans tune in at the same time❓⚽

When the is on, the action is not only on the pitch.

Every stream, score refresh and last-minute ticket rush creates real pressure on the Internet infrastructure working quietly in the background.

In this RIPE Labs article, Flavio Luciani explores how big online moments can become physical events.
