6 IN A ROW.

Another competition. Another Best Academy title.

17 competitors stepped onto the mats at Versus: The Future League 10 and came away with:

🥇 18 Gold
🥈 8 Silver
🥉 5 Bronze
⚔️ 86 matches won
🏆 455 academy points

But the number we’re most proud of:

6 consecutive Best Academy titles at Versus The Future League.

The medals are great. The trophies are great. But what matters most is seeing our young team keep developing, competing, learning and raising the standard together.

This isn’t one tournament or one good weekend.
It’s consistency.

Proud of every competitor, coach and parent behind this team.

The future is being built.
Elevation Youth Competition Team.

Another promotion night in the books.

Congratulations to everyone who received a new belt. Every promotion represents countless hours on the mat, consistency, perseverance and growth.

This time we promoted:
🔵 10 Blue Belts
🟣 3 Purple Belts
🟤 1 Brown Belt

A special thank you to Professor Bas van Duin for leading tonight’s promotion training and sharing his knowledge with our team.

We would also like to thank all of our coaches and instructors. Without their dedication, passion and countless hours on the mat, nights like these would not be possible.

What a month for our youth competition team.

Over the past month we competed at both the Lion Cup and the Nijmegen Open, bringing home an incredible 48 medals and 3 team trophies.

🥇 25 Gold
🥈 11 Silver
🥉 12 Bronze

🏆 Team Results:
🥇 Lion Cup Day 1
🥈 Lion Cup Day 2
🥇 Nijmegen Open

To put that into perspective: 48 medals in just two tournaments. An unbelievable achievement by our athletes, coaches and parents.

A special mention goes to Dakota (14), who not only competed in the youth divisions, but also stepped up into the adult division. She submitted every adult opponent she faced, finishing all of her matches in under a minute and taking home gold. An incredible performance.

Our adults have also been representing Elevation this month. Competitors stepped onto the mats at both Versus and Grapple City, where Milan secured an impressive silver medal with two submission victories.

With that, the youth competition season comes to an end. We won’t be competing again until after the summer break.

Now it’s time to get back to work. Time to sharpen our skills, improve our weaknesses and make sure that next season we are even more dominant on both the national and international stage.

Thank you to all athletes, parents, coaches and supporters who make this possible.

The future is bright.

A busy month on the competition mats.

IBJJF London Open – Feb 21/22
We competed with both our youth team and adults.

For our youth team, this was the first international tournament, and they showed up strong:
8 athletes – 7 medals

Our adults took it even further:
4 athletes – 9 medals

Highlights:
• Coach Luuk – 4x Gold (Heavyweight Gi / Open Gi / Heavyweight No-Gi / Open No-Gi) with a 100% submission rate
• Sijun – 2x Gold in his first tournament ever, winning both his division and the No-Gi open class, also with a 100% submission rate
• Coach Boris – 1x Gold, 1x Silver in his return to competition
• Milan – Bronze in his first Blue Belt tournament, in a tough division

⸻

Versus Future League – March 22
Yesterday we travelled to Eindhoven with our youth team.

12 athletes – 17 medals
Almost 90 matches in total.

We came home with a strong 2nd place as a team, just missing out on 1st.

Nice moment of the day:
Dakota finally competed in the No-Gi boys division, something she had been asking for for a long time. She won all her matches, submitting almost every opponent.

⸻

Next up in the coming 4 weeks:
• Veluwe Open
• IBJJF Milan Open
• IBJJF European Championship (Youth) – Dublin
