Weather can certainly be challenging, but it can also be unifying.

How has the weather ever brought you closer to someone else or a group of people?

“No pain, no gain” may not hold true in all areas of life, but there’s a reason it’s been an exercise mantra for decades.

What can you do today to make yourself positively uncomfortable tomorrow?

It was as inevitable as Thanos.

One of my boys finally beat me in a 5K.

Now, it would be easy for me to dwell on this milestone as a sign of my obsolescence and wallow in my self-pity that my best running days are behind me…and that MAY be true.

However, I choose to views the facts with gratitude:

1) I’ve had a good run so far (literally, many good runs);
2) My son has been running multiple miles at a fast pace for months now in track and soccer, whereas this was my first fast (sub-7:00 min. pace) multiple-mile run in well over a year;
3) I felt great after the race, due in no small part to my strength training regimen

Whether or not today was a permanent passing of the torch, I choose to continue running and training well while cheering on my kids, be it from the sidelines or on a shared running course.

Gratitude has that effect on my mental health…and yours.

If your staff could use a reminder or a reframe to increase their mental health, please reach out so we can chat!

There’s something charming about a town square. It offers a feeling of community, camaraderie, and fellowship that is universal and familiar.

Do you have a favorite town square? If so, where?

Have you ever seen a street like this?

We’re so inundated with information and attention-grabbing eye candy that we can miss so much.

However, if we just take the time to look a little more closely around us, we can notice something really intriguing!

What’s an interesting design that you’ve noticed lately?

We often overlook the fact that each bridge is an engineering marvel as it allows people, vehicles, etc. to move from one piece of land to another.

What’s an interesting bridge that you’ve encountered in your travels?

Star Wars is many things, but one thing it is not as wholly original.
What is something that you love about Star Wars, and how can you take something that exists and turn it into something different?
