Can’t wait to go on a super last minute adventure! 🏕️
This year we wouldn’t go on a trip since we are saving up for our wedding 💍👰♀️🤵♂️
But our two week holiday was coming closer and closer and we got that itch 😂
That itch like every hiker/adventurer has, you know?
What if we pack everything and just go hiking somewhere cool 😱
So we looked at a few options like visiting our friends abroad, going to Austria or back to chamonix (spoiler alert: everything was fully booked), looked at our savings and decided that we have a perfect opportunity:
Go to Sweden to lesser known trails and go wildcamping 😱😱
So we will pack our backpack once again and go explore one of our favorite countries that feels likes home ❤️
Let’s goooooooooooooo 🚀

Breaking the silence 😱
We needed some time off social media… Well, a lot of time tbh
It felt like we were going through a heart break. A trail we’ve dreamed about for 8 years wasn’t what we hoped it would be 💔
And we know, people say we should be proud of the 900 km’s we have hiked, proud of the harsh decision we made to quit the PCT, proud about the fact we started this beast. But we didn’t feel proud for a long time. We felt heart broken…
But now, months later, here is a list of the things we are proud of from our PCT experience:
🇺🇸 We rather look back on something we did although the outcome isn’t what we hoped, than not doing it at all
🇺🇸 We are so happy to have met so many incredible people. A call with a couple we hiked a lot with, really gave us some sort of closure/peace
🇺🇸 We are proud that we always do everything in our own way and stay close to ourselves, although it isn’t always the easiest thing to do
🇺🇸 We are even more aware of what we do love about hiking and our ‘why’. Why we started hiking in the first place
🇺🇸 We are proud that we listen to our body and that health is the most important for us
Give us some more months and this list will probably be way longer. Time heals ❤️
P.S.: here are some snapshots from our roadtrip to end our first USA trip together on a positive note
P.P.S.: yes, there will be a YouTube series about the PCT, but it is still a hard watch for us knowing how it will end 😢
