As we enter into a new week, we take a look back to the weekend; it was all about beautiful football, joyous moments and strengthened networking.

Sincere gratitude to the players, technical team, fans, Ubuntu family and the entire football lovers for showing up at the just ended AFCON tournament in Oslo, Norway.

The showcase of skills by the players on the pitch, the tactical delivery from the technical team and the loud cheers from the terraces created unmatched magic.

We are happy and we look forward to the next!

Many have been asking why were haven’t been active on this platform. Well, the silence was a deliberate social media sabbatical in which the the entire squad and the Admin were meditating and preparing for today. The Warriors are ready to battle it out at AFCON in Oslo, Norway 🇳🇴
We are pleased to unveil the squad which will be out to hunt maximum points on the pitch.

In the true spirit of Ubuntu, when a Warrior is down we don’t turn our back. We stand firm, in solidarity until we all back to our feet. We are Ubuntu, a brother’s keeper; a sister’s keeper.

We are elated to join the rest of the world in celebrating the birth anniversary of our Warrior, Boris Tadiwanashe Muguti.

In October 2025, we sat down together, bound by the spirit of ubuntu and asked ourselves how we would commemorate the Independence Day in style? We resolved that it would be nice to use what we love to bring communities together, and with that a football tournament became the answer.

Last weekend we gathered in Oslo at Frogner Stadion, the pitch was transformed into a battlefield as all participating teams eyed the big price, the big and beautiful golden trophy, and after fierce battles, a winner finally emerged.

We take this opportunity to congratulate Ghana (our former in-laws) for winning the inaugural Zimbabwe Independence Cup in Norway. We thank the Uganda Cranes Norway for honoring our invitation to celebrate with us, these ones are our all weather friends on such special occasions.

We are very grateful to Diaspora Insurance for agreeing to partner with us and unveiling support which made the event a special one.

It is not so often that you find humble football clubs like ours bragging about their success, but allow us, just for today to remind you that Ubuntu Warriors is better than FC Barcelona 😂
