Olnationz Onitsha Football Carnival

30/09/2026

THE COUNTDOWN CONTINUES…🎉⚽️♥️

ONITSHA… DO YOU REMEMBER??
Do you remember those days when football was not just a game — it was our life?
The dusty pitches… the worn-out boots… the jerseys we treasured… the arguments over who scored the winning goal… the friends we made… and the dreams we shared.😍😍😍

Some of us grew up playing.
Some cheered from the sidelines.
Some went on to become professionals.
Others became doctors, lawyers, engineers, businessmen, professors and community leaders.
But no matter where life took us, Onitsha remained home. 🏠♥️

Now, after all these years, we are coming together again.
Not just to play football.
Not just to watch football.
But to remember where we came from, celebrate how far we have come, honour those who paved the way, and create new memories for the next generation.
Because without Onitsha, there would be no us.💯

So, Onitsha…
Get ready. Get involved. Come home. Join the movement.

THE VISION BEHIND THE OLNATIONZ ONITSHA FOOTBALL CARNIVAL

The OLNATIONZ Onitsha Football Carnival was conceived with a clear and purposeful vision: to use football as a unifying force to inspire, encourage, empower, support, and celebrate the great sons of Onitsha and all lovers of the beautiful game.

Every January, when we gather, it is more than just football. It is a reunion of hearts, talents, memories, and purpose. It is a platform where we come together to uplift one another—collectively and individually—through moral support, encouragement, mentorship, sponsorship, and genuine brotherhood.

This carnival is a celebration of:

Those who had sterling and outstanding careers in football

Those who were exceptionally talented but could not make it to the very top, yet remain legends in our hearts

Those who, after football, went on to become successful businessmen, lawyers, doctors, engineers, and professionals across various fields

We recognize that football shaped many of our lives. Through this carnival, we recreate the memories of our childhood and youthful days, growing up in Onitsha decades ago—the passion, the street matches, the rivalries, the friendships, the dreams, and the joy that football brought into our lives.

The OLNATIONZ Onitsha Football Carnival is wholly made for:

Ex-football stars from the great commercial city of Onitsha

Football fans

Lovers of the round leather object

Beyond celebration, this carnival is a movement—a movement to reconnect, to rebuild bonds, to inspire the younger generation, and to restore Onitsha’s pride and rightful position in African and global football conversations.

As we look ahead with excitement to the 10th Edition, which also marks our 10th Anniversary — a decade of love, fun, unity, and celebration, we invite you to join us, support the vision, and be part of something bigger than all of us.

May God bless you as you join this movement.
Come, let us together put our city in its rightful position in Africa and the world at large.

I sincerely wish to appreciate and thank everyone on this platform who supported the OLNATIONZ ONITSHA FOOTBALL CARNIVAL (9th Edition) in one way or another. Your moral encouragement, financial contributions, and overall commitment played a vital role in the success of this project.

I truly do not take your support for granted. It is because of your encouragement, unity, love, and belief in this vision that the carnival was successfully delivered. May God, who sees and rewards every good deed, richly bless you all and replenish your pockets abundantly.

Once again, thank you for standing with OLNATIONZ. Together, we grow stronger.

Kind regards
Chief. Hon. Nkemakonam Jideofor Nwonwu (a.k.a Olnationz)
