Say hi to Skittentind (1041masl)👋🏔️

The celebrity at Kattfjordeidet and one of Kvaløya’s most famous ski touring peaks. It might just seem like a undistinguishable part of the ridgeline on the north side of Kattfjordeidet valley. But this peak wears its rather unflattering name with pride ("Skittentind" meaning dirty peak, directly translated from Norwegian..)

It is an all time favourite among both locals, visitors and our guides when the conditions are right. It even has its own randonee race to the peak in spring.
With its big main east facing slope being the big temptation.
Although it’s a steep peak, and there is no way up to the top without having to pass by avalanche terrain. This is not a beginner mountain‼️

This is a full long day out, with plenty of options for alternative descents in many aspects!
And if your legs can handle it (and even better if we have organised a boat transfer for you), your guide might end your day taking you skiing down the wonderful backside. Down towards the roadless and super scenic Ersfjorden!😎🌅

We have big news!🥳🌌

This winter you can join us on Northern Light Adventures!
But be careful, this is definitely not your generic tourist aurora chase, with eight hours in a bus…
We don’t even guarantee any northern lights.. as we of course respect that lady Aurora doesn't always want to dance for us.

What we do guarantee is an active and adventurous evening under the polar night sky. In the mesmerising light from your head torch, surrounded by the magical arctic nature!
With stories around the bonfire, away from crowds and city lights.
On snowshoes, nordic skis (fjellski) or alpine touring skis.

Available for booking for your private group from November to March.

Tromsdalstind (Sálašoaivi) 1238masl - our protective mother mountain of Tromsø city, and the inspiration to our Tromsø Ski Guides logo!

This season, we will present some of the great peaks in our backyard for you. Where we would love to take you skiing!

Tromsdalstind is the very picturesque city mountain of Tromsø, visible with its main cliffs and bowl from the city center. As it raises majestic above the mountain plateau around. This mountain is a holy place in the indigenous Sami culture, and it’s also a great ski tour. Mostly done from the south side, but it can be traversed from south to north and also east to west. This peak can even be reached with the city busses from town!😎
It’s a full day ski tour, usually with mixed snow conductions, all the way to the peak. And the view is incredible from low light mid winter trips to sunny spring skiing!🤩
