Mozambique🇲🇿 Women's International Lucia Leila Jose's Arrival Adds New Dimension to Sankata F.C’s Title Chance in ANFA Women's Championship 2026.
Sankata F.C🔴 have added serious experience to their squad with the signing of Mozambican🇲🇿 player Lucia Leila Jose, announced just hours before their ANFA Women’s Championship 2026 quarter-final clash.
The 32-year-old former Mozambique🇲🇿 women’s national team defender, who has played professionally in Portugal🇵🇹, Denmark🇩🇰, and Israel🇮🇱, made an immediate impact on debut after coming on in the second half, scoring a brace (63’, 80’) to help Sankata F.C🔴 secure a 4–1 win over Church Boys United⚪ and book a semi-final spot.
Interestingly, she is the only foreign player featuring in this tournament despite clubs being allowed three overseas signings, immediately making Sankata F.C🔴 one of the most intriguing teams in the competition.

Fireworks lit up the evening sky at Domlal Rajbanshi Stadium in Birtamode, Jhapa, as fans witnessed a spectacular trophy-lifting ceremony of the 7th Jhapa Gold Cup.
After a fiercely contested final between Machhindra F.C and APF F.C that kept supporters on the edge of their seats, the celebrations reached another level with dazzling fireworks, creating a memorable finale to one of Nepal’s most exciting mofosal tournaments.
Machhindra F.C⚪ was crowned the 7th Jhapa Gold Cup Champions after defeating APF F.C🟠by 3-1.
