Backstroke starts are the most challenging start to master! Test out these two drills to perfect your start. ๐Ÿ’ง 1. Pike drill: Use the power from your legs to explode off the wall. Make sure you are high enough to squeeze your thighs to your chest and attempt to get your bottom out of the water. 2: Backflip Drill: Most do this when playing in the water, but this is a great drill to focus on arching your back. Use your legs to shoot off the wall, and as you do that, arch your back and try to get your legs around without your head hitting the water.
