President Ram Chandra Paudel has filed a detailed response at the Supreme Court defending the formation of the Sushila Karki-led interim government and the House dissolution on 27 Bhadra.

He argues the country was in a constitutional vacuum after KP Sharma Oli resigned amid intense Gen-Z protests. Paudel says the interim setup was created on Oli’s written recommendation and was the only workable path to maintain stability.

Paudel cites past Supreme Court rulings to justify using the Doctrine of Necessity during an extraordinary national crisis. He also defends appointing former Justice Anil Kumar Sinha as minister, calling it a step toward unity and constitutional protection.

Paudel urges the Court to dismiss petitions demanding House reinstatement, insisting his decisions were constitutional, timely, and essential for national stability.
