Volleyball player Minna Sunar has won the People's Choice Award at the NSJF Pulsar Sports Award 2082.

At the award ceremony held on Thursday at The Blue Pavilion, Nepal Police Club, Bhrikutimandap, Mina finished ahead of her four competitors (MMA fighter Rabindra Dhant, Karateka Sanumaya Thing, Footballer Puja Rana and Cricketer Sher Malla) to claim the award.

Lionel Messi retires from International football. The 39-year-old made 207 appearances for Argentina.

Paro FC Women, featuring Nepali internationals Renuka Nagarkote and Saru Limbu, secured their fourth consecutive win in Bhutan's Women's National League Tier 1 with a 2-1 victory over Thimphu City Women's FC on Sunday.

Kaddy Jallow and Wuday Colley scored for Paro, while Holali Ativor netted Thimphu's only goal.

Paro players, including Saru and Renuka, also paid tribute to the victims of the Rasuwa floods and landslides. They wore wrist tape carrying the message 'Pray for Nepal' and dedicated their goal celebrations to the victims and their families.
