What a season! 🖤⚽

The Alex Women wrapped up their season today, and what a journey it's been. We've come such a long way as a team and a club, and we are so proud of every single player who pulled on the boots this year, through wins, losses, and everything in between.

A huge congratulations to Queenstown Association Football Club Ladies on taking out the league this year.

Thank you to everyone who's supported CLFLW this year. Onwards and upwards.

Saturday’s home game saw us farewell our rapido Spanish 🇪🇸 striker! Ka kite ano Tania Catrasca! A tough game against a stronger LIFC women’s team saw the AUFC women lose by a big margin (don’t ask) and net a couple of own goals putting bodies on the line.

🏆♾️ Player of the Day Tania, you’re going to be missed. Especially up top with those twinkle toe skills 🩰 ⚽️ 🥅

Hats off to Yasmin who took a hard knock to the head but got back on the pitch in the second half. 👊🏼

Thanks again to our sponsors Sam's Bar (go and get the miracle elixir folks 😋), Night 'n Day Alexandra and Checketts McKay Law.

Our next game is 27 June, 1pm up against Cromwell Ladies Football at QEC Oval. Thanks so much for your all support 👏🏻 we’ll see you there 💚🖤⚽️

The ladies travelled to Kelly’s Flat in Wanaka to take on Queenstown today. A tight battle resulted with the Alex women drawing the first half 0-0 💚🖤 we ended up going down 1-0. A huge happy 18th bday to Yasmin - sorry we didn’t scoop a win for you, but great to have you on the pitch today 🎂 a big welcome to the new faces on the team Sarah and Mollie too 😄

🏆 POD to Mel Knight for an absolute blinder in goal.

Thanks to our sponsors Checketts McKay Law, Night 'n Day Alexandra and Sam's Bar

Alexandra United Football Club Women took on the Cromwell Ladies Football team at Pioneer Park this week, and were up 3-1 at the half. A few unlucky moments led to a tense battle in the last 10 mins and Cromwell came away with the win, 3-4.

🥅 💚🖤Goals to Alyssa Serignese, Tania Catrasca and Milne.

🏆💚🖤POD to Briar Milne who came on as a flying right winger and jumped into centre mid, due to an injury to a teammate, and she made a big impact, challenging fearlessly for the ball ⚽️ and attacking with strength 👊🏼

Thanks again to our supporters, sponsors Sam's Bar, Alexandra Night & Day, Checketts McKay Law and our coach Andy.
