🚗⚠️ SLOW DOWN IN THE CARPARK ⚠️🚗

We’ve had a few close calls this season with children nearly being hit by vehicles in the club carpark. To help keep everyone safe while attending training and games at Hampstead, please take extra care when driving through the grounds.

🛑 SLOW DOWN
Please keep your speed to 10km/h or less at all times.

👀 BE ALERT
Kids can be unpredictable and may run out from between parked cars without warning.

• Keep your eyes up and your speed down.
• Check mirrors, blind spots, and reversing cameras before moving.
• Take extra care when reversing and driving through busy areas.

👧👦 LOOK AFTER YOUR KIDS
• Keep younger children close and hold their hand when walking through the carpark.
• Encourage them to use pedestrian crossings where available.
• Teach them to stop, look, and be aware of moving vehicles.

❤️ It takes a village to raise a child—and to keep them safe. Let’s all do our part to make Hampstead a safe place for everyone.

Hampstead Softball are up for the New World Ashburton Community Sport and Recreation Impact Award and Simon Chisnall for volunteer Award.

Darts first Tournament Held Sunday 3rd of May

I’d like to start with a thank-you to everyone involved.

We made a dart section how kool are we.

12 people come along today for our 501-2 life Drawn Pairs.

Most teams got to play at least 4 legs of 501 Pairs, some got to play 6 legs from 2 games if they went the distance “in the
best of 3 format”

It’s great to see people playing darts having laughs & a few beers or 3 on a Sunday afternoon.

We have gone digital with our scoring using Dart apps & a spreadsheet for stats, I will accumulate the data that we got today & have it for next Sunday afternoon practice session let’s say 2pm till 430 for a practice session next week how does that sound?

In the Semi finals today we had 4 teams that fought to be there we had Hurley & Hill (Maz) vs “The Cleaner” Coyle & “The apprentice” Will Broker on the other side we had Nic Andrew & Paula Poihipi vs Hoeta-Paul & “Jump the gun” Jaxon Parker.

Both Semis went the distance to find the winner.

Final today was Hurley & Hill vs Nic & Paula,

With great darts played by both it was the clutch finishing on show that was the difference with Hill hitting a clutch 2 dart finish to win the first leg & Hurley doing the same in the second congratulations to the winners of the first Hampstead Darts Section Sunday Tournament 501 Drawn Pairs May 3rd 2026, Hurley & Hill deserved winners. Well done to Nic & Paula finishing 2nd.

We then had a quick 6 person “Halve that score” & we were all cleaned up by the “The Cleaner” Rob Coyle.
