⭐️ Icy Stars – First Ride Under Saddle ⭐️

Icy had her very first ride under saddle today and, just as we expected, she took it all in her stride! 🐴💙

She was calm, willing and sensible throughout, taking another big step into her new life like she’s done it all before. Such a lovely start for this girl and we’re really excited to see how she continues to progress.

Definitely one to keep an eye on! 👀✨

✨ NEW ARRIVAL – ICY STARS ✨

Icy Stars arrived with us yesterday and today had her first introduction to her new life off the track. 🐴💙

She took absolutely everything in her stride, approaching each new experience in such a lovely, calm and relaxed manner. A pretty exciting start for this girl!

🌟 RIDER SHOUTOUT 🌟

A little appreciation post for Sienna and just how far she has come! 🐴💙

The photo on the left is Sienna riding Sassy back in April, and the photo on the right is her on Tonka today — and what a difference a few months can make!

Sienna has made huge improvements in her riding. Her position, balance, confidence and overall effectiveness in the saddle have come such a long way. She continues to listen, learn and take on every new challenge we give her, and it’s been awesome watching everything start to come together. 💪🐎

Progress in riding doesn’t happen overnight — it comes from consistency, practice and being willing to keep learning, and Sienna is a great example of that. Super proud of you! 💙

And we can’t forget a shoutout to Tonka, who had his first lesson back after a bit of a break today. As always, he was an absolute gentleman and slipped straight back into his job 🥹🤎

Very lucky to have some pretty awesome riders and horses here at A.W.M Equine. 🐴✨

We decided to change things up and introduce Gee to a few little jumps for the first time over the weekend. It was also his first time lunging outside of the round pen, so there was plenty that was new for him to take in. Safe to say he took it all in his stride and seemed pretty pleased with his new-found jumping career 😂

For a horse still figuring out this whole ridden-horse career, he continues to take everything we throw at him in his stride. First time lunging out in the open ✅ First jumps ✅ Keeping his cool like he’s done it all before ✅

Big Gee is really starting to get the hang of this riding thing! 🐴

He’s now finding a lovely, relaxed walk and is even starting to come down onto the bit and carry himself nicely.

Today was another big milestone with his first trot under saddle, and he handled it like an absolute pro! 🌟

It’s been so rewarding watching Gee grow in confidence with every ride.

Big Gee had his second ride under saddle today and was an absolute champ! 🐴🤎

He stood beautifully at the mounting block, was great while mounting, and walked off nicely. He was much more relaxed throughout the ride and is already starting to understand what this new ridden life is all about.

🎤 With a name like Big Gee… we HAD to write a rap about him 🎤😂

Big Gee has officially inspired his own theme song!

More updates on Gee to come tomorrow!!

Gee is ticking over nicely and had his first ride under saddle today 🐴✨

He was a little tense to begin with, but as the ride went on he started to relax and settle in. We kept things short, sweet and positive for his first experience.

He’s also been showing us some pretty fancy footwork on the lunge, with an eye-catching trot and even popping into a wee canter! 👀

A really positive start for Big Gee — we’re looking forward to seeing how he progresses over the next few weeks 💙
