This isn't easy for me to share, but here goes
I've always been fit and healthy!
I can eat whatever I want and not gain weight.
I have never been overweight.
All those statements are true.
Or rather they were
Because I have been unfit and overweight
Several times over the last 20 years
But it has played a big part in who I am today and my approach to not only my health and fitness but to the approach I take with my clients
I have followed the crazy diets
I have spent hours in the gym and working out
I have prescribed the crazy diets
But not anymore
I figured out what had to change for me to be consistent with my approach to my health and fitness
Now I help people figure out what has to change so they can change their health and fitness
To eliminate habits that aren't helping and create behaviours that lead to weight loss, improved health, fitness and overall quality of life
I recorded this video to give you a little insight into how I got to where I am today

How often do you drink coffee?
In the morning to get you going?
When meeting with a colleague, friend or client?
How many a day do you drink?
More importantly, how do you take it?
Ok, so coffee doesn't really make you fat.
Coffee itself contains very few calories. It’s when you add milk that the calories can pile on and make a difference.
Below I compare the number of calories in a coffee with trim/skimmed milk to one with full milk:
With trim or no milk, per serve
Espresso: 1 calorie
Long Black: 3 calories
Piccolo Latte: 26 calories
Cappuccino: 68 calories
Flat White: 68 calories
Chai Latte: 127 calories
Mocha: 164 calories
With full-cream milk, per serve:
Espresso: 1 calorie
Long Black: 3 calories
Piccolo Latte:46 calories
Cappuccino: 134 calories
Flat White: 155 calories
Chai Latte: 224 calories
Mocha: 394 calories
You might think that the calorie difference is not that big.
However....
Say you drink 1 cup of Flat White a day with full cream milk.
That’s 1,085 calories a week or 56,420 per year
Swap that for a Flat White with trim milk and you save 31,600 calories a year. This alone could equate to a 4.5kg weight loss.
And that is if you only drink 1 coffee per day. If you are drinking 2, 3, 4 or more imagine how many calories you could say by switching your milk or going for a black coffee.
If you are looking for an alternative to coffee you could always try herbal tea!

Mary nearly quit
She told me she had been "really good" and only lost half a kilo
She was disappointed with how much weight she hadn’t lost
So, I showed her this photo
Just like that, Mary was suddenly proud to have lost the weight and not to be carrying around "all that fat"
You see, half a kilo fat loss might not seem like a lot but when you can actually visualise what it is, it makes such a difference
We carried on having a chat and she was really pleased she had been able to lose the weight without giving up all the food she loves. On reflection, she said it was easy
I asked if she could carry on eating that way for the next three weeks and to picture what 2 kilos of fat might look like
“Of course” she replied “ I can even swap these foods our next week. Do you think it will help?”
Next week I’m going to show her a picture of what muscle looks like compared to fat
