Older people often avoid changing careers because it's riskier and they have more responsibilities, like mortgages and kids.
Younger people can usually take more risks since they have fewer commitments.
But, even if you're older you can can still change careers by learning new skills, networking, making gradual changes, planning financially, and getting professional advice.

I'm often asked about whether a Cover Letter is needed when applying for jobs.
And, in my view, it's a definite YES!
Your cover letter is your opportunity to introduce your personality.
You can also express your willingness to do the job and address any gaps between what the job requires and what you can bring.
Remember: first impressions count and a cover letter is still an important part of how potential employers (and recruiters) decide on who to shortlist.

Do you ever feel like you're wandering through your career, unsure what the "right fit" looks like?
You’re not alone—I’ve been there too. In my early career, I tried out roles in different industries, picking up valuable lessons as I went.
But, looking back, it might have helped if I’d had someone to guide me, help me reflect, and figure out what mattered most in my career.
That’s why I’m such a big believer in career coaching now. It’s not just about your next step—it’s about finding your path, the one that aligns with your goals, passions, and values.
Whether you're just starting out or considering a change, remember this: your career isn’t a straight line, and that’s okay.
Every twist and turn brings new opportunities to learn and grow. Sometimes, all you need is someone to help you connect the dots.

Keeping a job hunting diary can make a big difference to your success when looking for your next role.
You see, a job hunting diary helps you to stay organised.
It keeps track of which jobs you've applied for, when you applied, and who you spoke with last.
And it helps you to avoid the awkward and unprofessional situation of not remembering a job when a recruiter or hiring manager calls you.
In conclusion:
A job hunting diary means you can stay on top of your job applications and make a great impression!
