Okay I have to talk to about the burnt orange Dahlia’s and red Anthurium’s. New preserved products which I couldn’t wait to get my hands on & use for my next arrangements. They did not disappoint !

I can envision these delicious Dahlia’s sitting in a low vase or in a bouquet enmasse šŸ’

And the Anthurium’s are delicate + exquisite ā¤ļø perfect to add some height to any flower arrangement/bouquet.

Did I mention preserved ?! So - these flowers won’t require any water & will last months šŸ˜

January is almost over and February is just around the corner. Reflecting back on this month it’s been nice to enjoy the slower mornings without rushing around. Today we go back to Playcentre & the kids are so looking forward to it. We’ve enjoyed lots of family time, caught up with friends over this summer & I’ve started running again which is huge for me. What a refreshing start to 2024 !

The perfectionist in me, got the better of me.
But I’m letting go of that silly mindset & will post the post 😌

Pressed Florals turned out amazingly from the last fresh bunch and I’m currently air drying this bunch. Roses next ! I love drying Roses but there are so many beautiful varieties, you have to dry them at the right time. I dry them at their peak & after conditioning the roses 🌹

If I’m being totally honest, I don’t think I can count the number of times I have started a bouquet, taken apart, and then started all over again. I ordered these Dahlia’s and never expected them to be so tricky to move around. However it’s been a fun process, a lesson I’m trying to remind myself is that with trial & error it helps learn & grow šŸ’

Matricaria + Zinnia’s - I’ve been noticing a lot of bouquets with this type of daisy flower in them and I knew I had to get some for myself. It’s scientific name is Matricaria. I’ve pressed them for an experiment and because I didn’t want them to go to waste. I’m also going to dry the Zinnia flower heads. So now we wait .. it could take weeks for them to dry properly.

Admiring the most gorgeous Zinnia’s Amy has grown. Four days and they are still looking so pretty. I will be flower pressing the petals in a few days time for another project šŸ’
