The excitement is building as the 2026 Southern Dirtfest 250 gets ready to roar into action from 21–23 August, proudly hosted by the Otago Off Road Racing Club.

Not only is this one of New Zealand’s premier off-road racing events, it is also Round 5 of the CT Civil New Zealand Off-Road Racing National Championship, where the country’s best drivers will battle it out for valuable championship points and Dirtfest glory.

A massive congratulations to every team that made the effort to travel from around New Zealand and support Round 4 of the CT Civil New Zealand Off-Road Racing Championship, proudly hosted by the Nelson Off-Road Racing Club, alongside the 2026 RUFF N TUFF New Zealand Enduro Championships.

Golden Downs Forest once again delivered an incredible challenge, with competitors tackling one of the country’s toughest and most demanding enduro courses. Thank you to every driver, co-driver, crew member, official, volunteer, sponsor and supporter who helped make the event such a success.

To ensure fairness for everyone competing at the 2026 RUFF N TUFF New Zealand Enduro Championships, please note the following:

🏁 The main (primary) driver entered for each vehicle must be the driver who completes the qualifying session.

The qualifying driver will be recognised as the official starting driver for that vehicle. Second drivers or co-drivers are not permitted to complete qualifying on behalf of the main driver.

This requirement helps maintain a fair and consistent competition for all competitors.

To all competitors racing this weekend at the 2026 CT CIVIL National Round 4 in Nelson:

Please don’t forget your spark arrestors!

Due to the event requirements, all competing vehicles must be fitted with a compliant spark arrestor. Please ensure your vehicle complies with the current ORANZ Rule Book before arriving at the event.
