🏁 Rest easy, Mark Baker 🏁
Once again, a dark cloud hangs over the ORANZ family as we learn of the passing of long-time offroad racing member, supporter, helper and friend, Mark Baker.
There are never quite the right words when we lose one of our own. A familiar face missing from the track leaves a space that results and trophies can never fill. It is the people, the friendships and the years spent sharing this sport that stay with us long after the dust has settled.
Mark was part of that story. Through his time, his support and his willingness to lend a hand, he helped make our offroad community what it is. We will remember him with gratitude, and we will miss him.
To Mark’s family and those closest to him, our hearts are with you. Thank you for sharing him with our racing family. We hope you find some comfort in knowing he mattered to so many people and will be remembered with warmth and affection.
As we say goodbye, we like to picture him alongside those who have gone before—swapping racing stories, sharing a laugh and listening for the engines to fire up once more.
The chequered flag may have fallen on your time with us, Mark, but you will always have a place in our sport and in our hearts.
Race on beyond the dust, our friend.
We’ll carry your memory with us. 🖤🏁

🏁 2026 CT CIVIL NATIONAL FINALS — DRIVER & TEAM UPDATE 🏁

Canterbury Offroad Racing Club would like to advise all drivers and teams of two important updates for finals weekend.

🏆 PRIZEGIVING VENUE CHANGE
Prizegiving will now be held at the track, instead of the previously advertised McLeans Island Golf Club.

🍖 There will be a fresh BBQ dinner available!
Drinks are BYO, as there will be no bar.

🏕️ CAMPING & PIT PARKING
Any teams planning to camp at the track, please contact the club beforehand so we can plan space.

Pit space will be tight. Only race cars and tow vehicles will be permitted in the pits. All additional vehicles must park on the spectator side.

Please share this update with your drivers, crew and supporters so everyone is prepared.
