What an amazing day of performances by all the groups of Nupur Dance Academy at Waitakere Diwali!!!
Both our Junior and Intermediate groups impressed the judges and audience alike at the competition — earning a special mention from the judges for their outstanding performances!!
From our little 5-year-olds to our graceful ladies group, everyone performed beautifully. I’m super proud of each one of you — your hard work and dedication truly showed on stage. ❤️ Every day, I can see your confidence and artistry growing — keep shining, Nupur Dance Academy family!

What an incredible day it has been! 🌸

First, Nupur Dance Academy got the honour to perform in the opening act of the Auckland Diwali Festival, in the presence of the Honourable Prime Minister of New Zealand, Mr. Christopher Luxon, and other respected guests. We even had a chance to have a short one-to-one chat with the Prime Minister — such a proud and memorable moment! 🇳🇿✨

Later, my junior stars lit up the stage with their beautiful performance. Even though we didn’t win a prize, we received a special mention from the judges — and that’s definitely a victory in my eyes. 💫
So many people came up to me saying how amazing the performance was. I’m sure if there was a People’s Choice Award, my girls would have taken it home without a doubt! 💃✨

One month has passed, but the memories of Naad Nupur 2025 are still fresh in my heart. 💖 This year was extra special—performing with live musicians for the first time, and having our parents with us, traveling all the way from India, made it even more unforgettable. 🙏💃 The stage was alive with rhythm and grace, and performing in front of a full house was a moment I'll always cherish. Grateful for every moment and the love we received!

Last week, we celebrated Guru Purnima with different batches of my Kathak family. As a classical dancer, this day holds a special place in my heart—a time to express deep gratitude to our Gurus who guide us not only in dance but also in life.

Through Natraj Poojan, Ghungroo Poojan, and our performances, we offered our devotion and respect.

We were also truly fortunate to receive guidance from Dr. Madhuri Joshi ji, who has worked closely with our Guru, Pandita Rohini Bhate ji, for over 25 years. She shared valuable insights and beautiful stories of Pandit Birju Maharaj ji, which all the students thoroughly enjoyed.

Feeling blessed to carry forward the rich tradition of Kathak with love, faith, and dedication 🙏❤️
