If you want to go to Mr Moons funeral tomorrow I will be at the school from around 10.15am, we can meet at the stands around that time. For those of you not in the school house: please wear school trousers, and shoes, white shirt and your MAGS rugby hoodies.
Normal school rules apply regarding dress standards etc... the service starts at 11am so it will be great to see as many of us there as possible to give Moonie and his family the love and respect they deserve.

I’m sure you have all heard the terrible news about Mr Moon passing away while in Italy.

This will have a huge effect on our whole school not just us rugby lads.

I know he meant a great deal to many of us so I’m just posting here to make sure everyone is ok.

The U15 MAGS boys got a late entry into the Condors National Sevens competition at Sacred Heart College.
Despite no real preparation in the lead
up they had a strong two days only losing one game in the last seconds to finish a credible 5th place.
Results were:
Palmerston North 30-5 W
Wesley College 38-0 W
St Kents College 42-5 W
Hastings Boys High 15-19 L
Sacred Heart College 19-14 W
Kelston Boys High 19-14 W

Some great spirit shown and plenty of learning.
Awesome work lads, a great way to finish what was a very successful season overall.

The U15 sevens team from MAGS went through unbeaten in six games to claim the Auckland U15 sevens title at Waitemata Rugby Club today.
The lads played excellent structured rugby all the way through and despite playing some quality opposition came away unbeaten.
It was also great to see so many teams from all over Auckland in action, playing exciting rugby under blue skies!

Hey Team, this may be something of interest to a number of you!

The boys faced a determined St Pats team for the second time in a week on the Sir BG Williams Field getting up to win with a converted try on the final play in a huge battle where boys teams played their hearts out for 7th and 8th placings in the National Invitational U15 tournament.
Despite a couple of super close losses in previous games for both teams, neither held back in this final game of the tournament, despite the fact that both teams had a number of players out with injuries.
Fantastic standards of rugby from both teams kept the crowd entertained right to the final whistle where MAGS proved they had learned from their past close games, and showed the composure and self belief to close the game out emphatically.
A great end to the season!
We are all proud of you lads and it was great to see all of our players involved in this final win.
