Next up the Nick Dale coached u8 Lionesses. Nick had this to say.
“The Mighty Lionesses.
The Under 8 Lionesses certainly lived up to their name this season, roaring their way through every challenge that came their way. As the first of three girls teams at the club for a number of years, they helped pave the way with their enthusiasm, teamwork, and determination.
Often playing against bigger and older opposition, the girls showed incredible resilience, courage, and grit. They never backed down, always gave their best, and improved enormously from the first game to the last.
Carrie grew in confidence and skill, Daisie showed bravery and persistence, and Sienna built strong friendships while developing her confidence on the field. Chloe embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, while Emily’s energy, courage in tackles, and encouragement of her teammates stood out throughout the season. Myra settled into the team seamlessly and showed great determination, while Mia’s passion for football flourished as she celebrated the team’s achievements alongside her friends. Billie’s improvement, enthusiasm, and team-first attitude were fantastic to watch, and Amelie impressed with her relentless effort, never giving up and always fighting for every ball.
One of the greatest successes of the season was the friendships formed along the way. The girls supported one another, celebrated each other’s successes, and developed into a close-knit team that genuinely enjoyed being together both on and off the field.
Coach Nick was incredibly proud of everything the team achieved this year. Watching the girls grow in confidence, skill, and resilience was a real privilege, and he is already looking forward to coaching them again next season. Thank you to the super parents/supporters for their support of the team every week, rain, hail or shine!
The Lionesses can be immensely proud of their season. The future looks bright for Carrie, Daisie, Sienna, Chloe, Emily, Myra, Mia, Billie, and Amelie.
Up the Lionesses! 🦁⚽️”
Well done girls. Onwards and upwards in 2027.
