Ele Phant leaves to Brazil with the NZ team tonight to represent NZ at the world champs. She just came back from sparring the number 3 in the world in Australia. Last night she finished off hard rounds in the ring with our champs.

Very proud of and ._tai (Harlan). Both winning their fights. Both fought really tough boys. So good see the talent coming through, And to see how well the NZ youth team are doing overseas. Thank you .academy for putting on a great event.

Congratulations to JT who made the Australian under 19 boxing team. We are all really proud of you champ. You have grown into a great fighter. JT is son who used to fight under me. Then he moved to Australia and open Mayhem Brisbane. Now all 3 of his sons are doing awesome in the fight world.

.mauu leaves today back to Las Vegas to start training camp and to complete the process of his working Visa to fight in the states.

Wheels was going to fight in 1 minute scraps while waiting for his work Visa, unfortunately he can’t now.

But we are really happy that he is signed with .

Once his Visas have been approved it’s game on..

We really appreciate all the sponsors that have helped him so much. And thank you for all the support from everyone that has played a part.

As Wheels coach all I can say on this journey so far. It’s not been smooth sailing, problems always come up, road blocks come out of no where. And almost feels impossible sometimes. Some people would like to see us fail and of course money is always going to be hard chasing such a journey for all of us. While wheels still has a way to go, I am really proud he got past some big hurdles and once the visas are sorted then exciting times.

We have so many great fighters and great coaches in this country that commit their life to this sport. Coaches donate so much of their time to fighters, and fighters try to represent them the best they can in the ring.

For what it’s worth, and it’s very cliches, is never give up to the fighters trying to make it. There’s always going to be obstacles, doubters, personal problems etc, but never take your eye off your goal. It’s not impossible even though it sometimes feels like it.

So proud of for making the NZ team. Much respect to Tinta who’s always a hard fight. This is one step closer for Elle trying to make Commonwealth games. If Elle makes the games she will be the 4th Mayhem fighter to go commonwealth. Thank you coach .mayhem for looking after Elle while I was in Auckland.

This week is Nationals in Porirua. We have 6 people representing Mayhem boxing and Shamrock. 3 are former NZ champions. The team has trained hard, Now to do what we do best.
