ππ Auckland TQs Club Championship Points
The final rounds are near and the Cooke Roofing Ltd Auckland TQ club championshipβs final placings are far from over!
The top three remain the same, however 8A James MacDonaldβs DNF in the weekend has allowed 3rd place feature finisher 4A Troy Pennington to be one point behind, with 24A Cole Robertson also closing the gap.
The biggest points mover is the feature winner of 8K Dylan Cooke, moving up to 6th place and 16 points behind a podium spot, after being 48 behind entering the weekend.
21A Dayna Lowry closes into the top 10 after some unfavourable nights ahead of her. Can she make the 10 by the seasons end?
9K Jason Land has all but sealed the Tier 2 championship after another strong night, but the remaining podium spots are still wide open. The driver of the night over the weekend, 25A Kate Groshinski now enters the Tier 2 race after capitalising on her front row qualifying start on the weekends feature ππΌ
Not many meetings to go, a lot of double points to be used. This will be sure to shake up the order once the drivers use them π₯

π€ Cowboy Up at Huntly: TQs Tame a Wild Night for Waikato Champs π€
Huntly Speedway turned it on with a true βcowboy upβ surface for the latest round, hosting the Cooke Roofing Ltd Waikato Champs. Originally set for three heats format, and dropping your worst heat result to qualify for a 20 lap feature, the format was amended to two reverse heats and a 15 lap feature. Kayden Barker (3NZ) was the only driver to roll the dice on double points in what became a tough, action-packed night of racing.
β‘οΈ HEAT 1 - Sponsored by Collision Repairs Takaniniβ‘οΈ
The opening heat set the tone early with drivers navigating a tricky surface. Dylan Cooke (8k) put together a strong drive to take the win ahead of Regan Tyler (56k), while Shaun Cooke (18k) rounded out the top three.

Heat 2 delivered plenty of drama. Kayden Barker (3NZ) tipped upside down early bringing out the yellow. Later in the race, drivers checked up in turn four which resulted in rollovers for Keiano Weir (54a) and Jack Wilson (21k) as they were working their way through the field. Regan Tyler (56k) also struck trouble, pulling infield on the final lap with an issue after a strong drive.
Through it all, Cole Robertson (24a) kept his nose clean to take the win, with Bryce Pennington (5a) and Dayna Lowry (21a) completing the podium.

A great night for Kate Groshinski (25a) saw her earn a front row start alongside Dylan Cooke (8k). After earlier incidents, both the 21k and 54a cars made it back out for the feature, a testament to the pit lane effort with teams helping each other get back on track.
From the drop of the green, Dylan Cooke was in control, leading from start to finish. Aaron Humble (46k) put in a strong drive to secure second while Troy Pennington (4a) completed the podium after another consistent night.

A wild night at Huntly that truly lived up to the βcowboy upβ conditions, with drivers tested all night long. Big credit to all teams for the effort in the pits and on track as the Waikato Champs delivered action from start to finish. π

π₯ Humble is Back! π₯
After a busy Championship season, the Cooke Roofing Ltd Auckland TQs returned to Club points racing last Saturday night at Kihikihi Speedway. With no drivers electing to take advantage of double points, it was a straight fight for valuable championship points as the field looked to build momentum heading toward the final rounds.

Aaron Humble (46k) showed early he was back on form, driving a strong race to take the opening heat win. Regan Tyler (56k) kept the pressure on throughout to finish second while Dylan Cooke (8k) completed the podium after a solid drive.

Cole Robertson (24a) put together a clean drive to take the second heat win of the night. Mid race the action halted when Kaleb Currie (12a) went for a wild ride which brought out the yellow and condensed the field back together for the restart. Regan Tyler (56k) continued his consistent run to pick up another second place while Keiano Weir (54a) rounded out the top three.

Top points qualifier Regan Tyler (56k) elected to start from P2 for the feature, putting Aaron Humble (46k) on pole position. Humble made the most of the opportunity, getting the initial jump and settling into an early lead.
Behind him, Dylan Cooke (8k) was chasing Tyler hard as the pair battled for second place with Cooke winning that battle. An unfortunate end to Tylerβs race forced him to retire early.
Out front, Humble was in control and drove a smooth race to return to the winnerβs circle, while strong drives from James Macdonald (8a), Jack Wilson (21k) and Troy Pennington (4a) rounded out the top five.

ππ Auckland TQs Club Championship Points
It has been a long period of time off from the points championship due to national titles and numerous cancellations. However that changed on the weekend!
The 56K Regan Tyler is a landslide ahead, sitting nearly 200 points clear of 46K Aaron Humble making it a very step uphill battle for him or anyone to catch him in the final few rounds.
In tier two, 9K Jason Land is sitting in the box seat to take this tier out with 37R Jaylem Caley having car problems, but can 7A Saul Smith make a late charge?
A significant amount of drivers have their double points round still left, so it will be important in how each driver uses it!
There is a new column added to the table, βππ (ππ³π°π± ππ°πΆπ―π₯)β which is each drivers lowest round which will be taking away from their total. This came in this season to allow drivers to remain in the championship hunt even if they have non-speedway commitments on a weekend, or have a bad night!
