The third edition of the popular Aotearoa Invitational presented by TPW was staged recently at the impressive Wainui Golf Club.
Billed as the New Zealand Celebrity-Amateur Team Championship, the event saw eighteen sports celebrities each captain a corporate team in pursuit of golfing glory.
The Aotearoa Invitational is also a philanthropic event, looking to raise funds for a charity partner. This year I AM HOPE was the recipient of $60,000, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, participating teams, and celebrity skippers.
And for the record, this year's champion team were the lads from Craftsman Plumbing, expertly skippered by rising Black Sticks star, Anna Crowley! Anna Joins BlackCaps captain Tim Southee and Olympic bound high jumper Hamish Kerr, as champion team captains.

ANNA LEADS THE CRAFTSMEN TO VICTORY!
Blacksticks Anna Crowley led her Craftsman Plumbing team to victory at the Aotearoa Invitational presented by TPW.
It was a great day out for Anna, Richard Edwards, Daniel Parfitt, and Danny Turner, as they finished their round at Wainui Golf Club with an impressive team nett score of 51.38.
It was a close run thing with Nathan McCullum’s TPW side scoring 52.3, while former Kiwi league star Richie Barnett captained his Bayleys Real Estate team to third place with a nett score of 52.38.
Anna’s victory sees ‘The Pride of Pungarehu’ become the tournament’s first victorious female skipper, following BlackCap captain Tim Southee’s win in the inaugural event, and high jump champ Hamish Kerr’s victory at the last event.

MARTY GOES LONG!
Congrats to Marty Guptill on taking out the prized Celebrity Long Drive title at the Aotearoa Invitational!
Guppy responded to the pressure from Eric Murray (292m) ,Ali Williams(273m), Steven Ferguson(273m), and Finn Allen(268m) with a superb 316m bomb!
Marty has now won the title twice - 2021,2024.

THANK YOU! TEAMS RAISE OVER $60,000 FOR I AM HOPE!
What a superb way to finish the Aotearoa Invitational presented by TPW.
The evening began with Blackstick Anna Crowley and her Craftsman Plumbing team holding aloft the Aotearoa Invitational trophy.
Following a fantastic meal prepared by Wainui Golf Club, it was the turn of the mercurial auctioneer Wayne Maguire to weave his magic. Thanks to the amazing generosity of those who provided the auction items, and the teams who bid with vigour, over $60,000 was raised for charity partner I AM HOPE.
