WE DID IT! Relay for Life was a great event, 18 hours of walking, an average of 28kms per team member, and the entire event raised over $130K to go towards Cancer Research and Caregivers through The Cancer Society.
Here is our link, it is active until May if you wish to make a donation to the team, we are soooo close to our goal.
There is another event in the pipe line that will take place in May, yes in 4 weeks time, keep an eye on this page for more details.
Members of our Relay for Life team don't worry we haven't signed you up for this one, but I'm pretty sure you will be coming along though..... no exercise, we promise :)

This was the start to our day!!!

9 more sleeps until we tackle our next event!
The team is pretty excited about doing this and the money we have raised for The Cancer Society Auckland.
For fundraising our minimum target was set at $200 per team member, we have 9 members now so needed a minimum of $1800, we have done this which is amazing! We pushed the target out to $2500 and have raised $2280 so far.
We have a walking roster sorted :) we are walking between 5 and 5.5 hours each over the 18 hour relay.
We have heard from a few people that they will be popping out to visit us, which is awesome. When you arrive please use our team name so they can point you to where we are.
Can't wait to see your smiling faces next Saturday/Sunday, if you have any questions about the event, let us know.
Love the Team - Chicks do KM's for Cancer x

So who's coming to visit us???? 2nd April, 2 week countdown will be starting this Saturday!
Opening ceremony is at 3.45pm with the first lap led by survivors or carers at 4pm. Then these amazing people get to share in an afternoon tea, while the rest of us continue to relay :)
At 9pm is a Candlelight Remembrance Ceremony where the candle bags are light, then we must say goodbye to our supporters by 10pm. You are all welcome back from 7am though.
With daylight savings happening during the relay it brings our end time forward an hour, so there will be a Fight Back Hour at 8am where everyone will walk together to show a united stand in the Fight against Cancer.
Closing ceremony & final lap will take place at 9am.
With that said let us know if you are coming, we would love to see your smiling supportive faces to help us get through this 18 hour walk.
This event is held at the Cricket Oval within Bruce Pulman Park.
