Wally van de Westerlo nearing retirement After thirty-three years of loyal service Wally van de Westerlo is nearing retirement from Horticentre (originally Veg Gro) Drury branch. He will be missed by all the greenhouse growers he has helped over the years.

On a trip to England, over Christmas and New Year, I visited numerous supermarkets. I found the layout of English supermarkets different to New Zealand. Recently at the TomatoesNZ AGM held in Christchurch, Tony Ivicevich was awarded a Life Membership and Helen Barnes an Award of Merit for their long service to the New Zealand greenhouse tomato industry. Well done Tony and Helen on this achievement, thoroughly deserved.
