Joey Zhou Racing

This year I participated in the 2024 National Schools Championships. Thanks to Joshua Bethune (wishing you a speedy recovery from your back pain) and dad for getting me to Nelson two times in a row, and to the rest of my family for supporting me. Big thanks to all the people for congratulating me in getting second place. I was a bit sad that I ended up in 2nd place, as I was super close (0.211 seconds) to winning. I cannot wait for next year where I can keep fighting for NS. Also, congratulations to Cam and Nico for their wins.

Yet another podium at the 2024 Auckland Area Schools Championships! But this time… First Place!🥇 Loving the big trophy and very stoked to have my name engraved alongside Liam Lawson’s! This is also my first win for my school. Yay!
Also big Shoutout to Teddy Power for the great teamwork for the School cup, go Saint Kentigern!

Yay! Another podium at the stinky 2024 Sulphur city sprint. AND 5th place at the 2024 Hampton Downs NZ Racing Academy Kartstars! Very happy to see that all the members of Team Kosmic did very well!

Last weekend it was the NZ Rose City Challenge 2024. I was very happy to come away with 3rd place!🥉 Thanks to all the officials and everyone who celebrated this moment with me. Special thanks to Josh, Logan, Cam, Jake for supporting me. It was an amazing race and I loved it.

Hey guys, I'm currently fundraising for our school's Extra Miler. The goal is get our seniors to their series of service trips in order to help those in other countries that are in need. For more information about this, scan the QR code below.
My challenge is to drive 500km of my Go-Kart and a 5km hike in June. I have already driven more than 300 km during Karting practice in Manawatu in the past 3 days.

Today is my 8th birthday. I was so spoiled by so many of you with chocolates, cakes, presents, wishes and hugs. Thank you so so so much to all of you! ❤️ It is such a special birthday as half of me was not very happy with my race but then the other half was so happy because of you guys. 😄 Love racing, love you all! Keep it up! Tomorrow is a brand new day!

Second big event of the year, the 2024 NZ Karting Grand Prix! I got second place! Big thanks to Josh, Right Karts, my family, all the officials, Liam Lawsonfor signing my helmet and my friend Aidan for coming to support me. Congratulations to all my friends who got onto the podium.

MYSTERY PERSON IS REVEALED…

I wanted to give a big, huge, tremendous thanks to this person, without him, I wouldn’t have gotten 2nd in City of Sails. I will always remember those days in training with this person when it was either baking hot, or as cold as the North Pole. Those moments when we were drenched in the pouring rain and getting (quite literally) blown up by the wind.

Without further ado, I would like to thank Bethune for everything he has done for me and my karting career. Xie Xie!

It is my very first time attending the City of Sails Challenge in the last three days. It was so much fun and an amazing experience. In the finals I raced from 16th to 2nd!! What a long way to drive but I made it! ✌️

Big thanks to all the officials, volunteers, Auckland, and everyone involved in making this event possible. Also a big thanks to my family and friends and a special mystery person who I shall reveal in my next post…
