3..2..1..Majao!
Class 1-of-2 in Hamilton as a guest teacher
Matariki weekend

Thank you, Hamilton Salsa for having me back. To everyone it was such a pleasure to be able to share my passion.

Thank you for lending your ear and for your curiosity. I hope the workshops have expanded your horizons and given you a deeper appreciation for the dance, the music and the people who gave us Bachata🇩🇴.

And Lastly, I hope you're inspired to explore beyond the steps, and beyond the studio ✈️ wishing you the best in your dance journey

2026 International Rueda de Casino Flashmob day 28th March 2026

Once a year all over the world - hundreds of cities do a flashmob Rueda at 16:00 on the same day local time. Because we're in NZ🇳🇿 we get to be the first in the world to participate.

📍Flashmob: Atrium on Takutai, Britomart

📸 These are our flashmobbers. Thank you all for making this happen and making it fun.
👇 This is the wider Cuban dance community represented by multiple schools and teachers. .akl .de.baile

🚘 Some have come from as far as Hamilton to rehearse the week prior before the final flashmob.

👮‍♂️ We achieved the objective of being a nuisance for 10mins and nearly got kicked out by security. Luckily after begging "just one song" he let us finish our flashmob 🕺
