After responding to a Poacher Call from the public (0800 4 POACHER), our Wellington Fishery Officers managed to track down two divers with 44 pΔua, the majority of which were undersized.
The pΔua was seized and returned to the ocean, and the divers were issued with $500 fines on the spot.
A big thank you to the community for calling us! Your calls play an important role in the monitoring of our coastlines. π βοΈ π±
