"SOUTH HEAD 50th JUBILEE - 2013

In 2013 we are celebrating our 50th year as one of the best Golf Clubs in New Zealand. February 15th and 16th have been earmarked with Friday 15th being a get-together and game of golf and on Saturday 16th holding the official ceremony (and, would you believe, a game of golf)
A little nearer the date we well let you know the details of how and where to register but we wanted to let you know what is happening here on the Kaipara in the hope that you'll put this in your diary and make a point of being with us for our celebrations"

South Head Golf Course, built on the sandy soils of the
South Kaipara Peninsula to a design by Jack Eccles,
was opened in 1969 with just a handful of members.
The rolling fairways, grassed with Kikuyu, and naturally shaped
greens were an instant hit and have continued to this day to
provide a true challenge to every standard of golfer.
You'll find no tricks at South Head - just sensational golfing
conditions overlooking the Kaipara Harbour.
