Team registrations for the 2027 National Tournament open next Saturday Aug 1 at 6pm
As per Maori Basketball rules - note that registering teams for the 2027 REQUIRE FULL TEAM FEE not just a deposit.
Dates: January 25. 26, 27 - U16yrs grades and under January 28, 29, 30 - U18yrs grades and up

NABI Tour 2k26 done & dusted. What a special bunch of rangatahi and management staff we took away this year. So many amazing memories and experiences that were shared over the past 2 weeks. This kaupapa not only focuses on high-levelled basketball but also allowing our tamariki to thrive as Māori and stand strong in their ahurea no matter where they go in the world. Sad that it’s over but excited for NABI 2k27. What this space e te whānau for updates about next years tour.

THE Miss Charlisse Leger-Walker. Our rangatahi had the privilege of meeting CLW after attending the Connecticut Suns vs. Phoenix Mercury game last night. She is such an inspiration for our tamariki. Thank you for taking the time to kōrero and meet our rangatahi 🙌🏽

Part of the Native American Basketball Invitational are the Educational Youth Summit sessions. Today is a discussion panel - Analyss Benally and Sydney Benally. Some great pearls of wisdom are being shared!
Analyss Benally (Navajo) is a former Division 1 college and professional basketball player who made her acting debut in 2024 Netflix sports drama ‘Rez Ball’.
Sydney Benally, (Navajo) was a two-time NABI MVP and Invitational Ambassador. She just completed here freshman year at BYU

Awesome day at Maricopa reservation with the Ak-Chin community. Our rangatahi participated in a cultural exchange where they not only got to play basketball, but also share waiata & culture. There was a big emphasis on the importance of speaking your language and being proud to be indigenous.
