The name Waka solutions was used to identify what we are about. Waka Solutions is a company aimed at providing quality mentoring and sports programmes to everyone from children to adults, from the community to the corporate world. The business aim is about using different vehicles to delivery quality programmes with a difference to build self esteem, provide fitness options, develop leaders an

d most of ensuring integration and engagement within the community. Through recent collaboration with other community based programmes, we have successfully managed to broaden the variety of programmes, that can be tailored to suit any individual, club or school needs. One of the main programmes we deliver is Waka Fit for children and adults. We deliver Waka Fit for children within schools, Waka Fit for Adults who desire a more extensive training regime and Waka Corporate. Waka Corporate is a new venture we envisage launching early next year to business and organisations who want something different for their team building day. We are passionate about waka ama and have witnessed the benefits of waka ama in terms of developing individuals to pursue and achieve goals. Waka ama is also a family orientated sport where the inclusion of family is pivotal to the success of the individual. Waka ama is regionally and internationally recognized being a new and upcoming sports. We understand the successful outcomes of waka ama and have used waka ama as vehicle to achieve our aim. Its about providing the experience of waka ama to every child and adult so they gain the benefits of waka ama like many of us have. This programme is delivered by skilled and experienced tutors with complete evaluations given of each child progress at the end of the programme. We also provide programmes that promote and endorse the whare tapa wha model of ensuring all aspects of development are explored. Our programmes are unique , exciting, fun and unique. We provide land base fitness programmes, developing your own personal training plans to achieve your desire goals. We have qualified personal trainors who will assist in writing your plans and monitor progress. We provide cycling programmes delivered by Tee and the crew!! Great mentors and leaders in the community. All bikes and helmets are provided. All you need is to know how to ride a bike. This progamme is based out in Mangere. We provide tikanga maori based programmes, learning on the marae, engaging and interacting with Maori practices through the art of Kapa Haka, Waiata and harakeke. These programmes were designed to give the individual a whole new learning experience. We deliver programmes that teach how to get Kai Moana, Mahinga Mara, ( creating community gardens) preserve fruit making. These programmes again give the individual the experience, but also build confidence, develop individuals, build leaders equipping them in the future. Thankyou today to these young boys. We held the end of the 6 week programme from the wakafit programme for kids in schools swiss programme. We ended with presentation of certificates , speeches and acknowledgements to the boys and something to eat. Huge success, the boys thoroughly enjoyed the programme and have decided to take up waka ama and join a club. A very special group of boys who we got to know well. Thanks to Maria and Brandon for supporting these boys in their journey in experiencing waka ama. To Terehia and Manaaki for beng inspirational tutors. To Bruce lodder for allowing us to use the facilities, to the kuki outriggers for allowing us to use the equipment and finally to Moa and Loretta Kingi for outstsnding support. Looking forward to next year when we will be running several ore programmes in the new year. Thanks Ashleigh and Wesley for allowing us to operate this programme.

Pool session yesterday..Some of the boys being taught water survival skills and water safety by Manaaki, our inhouse certified lifeguard trainer. Well done boys..4th session of programme delivered to schools. This is a 6 week programme we have piloted this side of the year, with good positive results.. Its about giving our children the experience of waka ama..
