A Message to Our Fairy God Mother
From the Twisted Sisters Big Swim Challenge Team
To our mysterious, magnificent, sparkle‑powered Fairy God Mother — this one’s for you.
Thank you for wrapping our team in kindness, encouragement, and that signature sprinkle of magic you always seem to deliver right when we need it most. As we take on The Big Swim Challenge to raise funds for the New Zealand Coastguard, your support has meant more than you know.
Every stroke we take out there isn’t just for the cause — it’s for the people who believe in us. And you, Fairy God Mother, have been one of our brightest lights. Your generosity, your quiet cheerleading, your way of lifting spirits without ever stepping into the spotlight… it’s pure Twisted Sisters energy.
Because of you, we feel braver.
Because of you, we feel seen.
Because of you, we swim with a little extra sparkle.
Thank you for inspiring us, backing us, and reminding us that even the toughest challenges feel lighter when someone believes in you.
With love, gratitude, and a whole lot of ocean‑spray glitter,
The Twisted Sisters Team

RACE ONE — RUN AUCKLAND SERIES
Ambury Park, you absolute beauty!
What a way to kick off the 2026 Run Auckland Series! Ambury Park turned on the charm this morning — wide open fields, friendly farm animals cheering from the sidelines, and hundreds of runners, walkers, and tiny speed‑demons in the Kids 2.5km giving it everything they had.
Whether you smashed a PB, cruised the 5km, conquered the 10km, or chased your kids around the course, today was all about showing up, moving forward, and starting the season strong.
There’s something magic about Race One — the nerves, the excitement, the “oh wow, we’re really doing this again” moment — and every single person out there brought the vibe.
If today was your first race: welcome.
If you’re back for another season: we see you.
If you weren’t sure you could do it but did it anyway: that’s the real win.
Ambury Park, thanks for the sunshine, the scenery, and the sheep who definitely judged our running form.
On to Race Two — but for now, celebrate the effort, the courage, and the community that makes mornings like this so good.
