🏆 Reflecting on Hamilton: 2026 National Banked Track Championships

The dust has settled in Hamilton, but the energy from the 2026 Inline Speed Skating National Banked Track Championships is still with us! ✨ From 6th to 8th February, our skaters pushed their limits, and the results speak for themselves.

It was a weekend defined by technical precision and pure determination on the track. 💪

🔥 Mt Wellington Speed Skating Club @ Nationals 2026 🔥

What a week it’s been! From 29 Dec 2025 – 4 Jan 2026, our skaters headed down to Christchurch for the 2026 Inline Speed Skating Nationals (Road, Flat Track & Marathon) — and they absolutely left it all on the track. 💪

The kids raced hard, pushed through the pain, supported each other, and gave everything they had in every race.

Our skaters traveled to Timaru last weekend to compete in the National Banked Track Championships. Despite some races being canceled due to the weather, the skaters put on an amazing show, breaking records and giving it their all. Here's a quick rundown of the action:

- 🥇 Senior Men: Josh - 1st
- 🥇 Veteran Men: Ivan - 1st with a *new record* of 22.867!
- 🥇 Juvenile Boys: Jerry - 1st with a *new record* of 21.893, 🥈 Eric - 2nd
- 🥇 Primary Boys: Mason - 1st with a *new record* of 25.413
- 🥇 Primary Girls: Alice - 1st
