Another Pearson joins the collection. This bike was originally owned by Kevin Hallberg, ((1991/1992) before it was purchased by Warren Sharrock. Notable results for Warren on the bike were gold medals in the road TT at the Oceania games- Townsville in 1995 and Whanganui in 1997. The original spoked front wheel came with the bike, and a Zipp 850 rear disc will be added also (as raced by Warren).

Medalist in world champs, world cups, commonwealth games, Olympic Games (New Zealand’s first track sprint Olympic medal), World Cup overall champion (1km tt and Keirin)PLUS in his second sporting career, a 3 time Americas Cup winner. This is a collection of bikes ridden (bar the Trek) by Simon Van Velthooven. The BT Stealth still needs a couple of finishing touches, but it’s fantastic to have Simon’s bikes on display, and to be able to share his story.

We have had some wonderful items arrive at the museum lately. One such item (many thanks to ) is this 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games New Zealand team tracksuit. A perfect fit with the Pearson bikes that were built for the Road TTT team and the track team at those Olympic Games. We current;y have 3 of the 4 100km ttt bikes at the museum, only missing Brian Fowlers bike to complete the team.

Another working year has come to an end- the museum and workshop is now closed, but will reopen on Jan 12, 2026. A huge thanks to all our visitors, and customers who made this a memorable year. It’s been a very up and down year with great highs, like finally getting to deliver our custom Lotus to Aidan in Dublin (return visit planned next year to visit my family roots in Ennis), 2 weeks in Belgium and France with mates chasing some of the cycling classics, among other things. Throw in knee surgery and other things and it’s also been testing at times. Very much looking forward to spending quality time with friends and family next year, and ensuring our customers and visitors to the museum are looked after and have a great time also. Seasons greetings to you all, I hope this year has been fantastic for you, and next year is equally as amazing! ! #2025

Sometimes, it’s the small custom details that make the difference. Detailing completed by Simon Bittle . For this lifelong Sheffield United supporter, a nod to his team and a little bit of ‘bike colour’ are enough to make the difference. !
