💙💛 Super Saturday at Manurewa AFC! 💛💙

It’s shaping up to be a Super Saturday down at the club, with football and activity running all day at War Memorial Park.
The morning and early afternoon will be packed with community football, featuring our Small Whites, Juniors, Youth, and Senior teams, creating a great buzz around the grounds.

We’ll be kicking the day off with our Club Breakfast from 8:00am–10:00am, followed by Hungerball from 11:00am–2:00pm, giving kids and families plenty to enjoy between matches.

⭐ Main Event of the Day:
⚽ First Team vs West Coast Rangers
🕒 Kick‑off: 3:00pm

The First Team match is the centrepiece of the day, and we’d love to see supporters stay on and get behind the Blue and Gold. There will also be a half‑time on‑field activity for the kids, adding to the match‑day fun.

⚽💙💛 Hungerball Is Coming to Manurewa AFC! 💛💙⚽

We’re excited to have Hungerball at the club from 11:00am to 2:00pm, thanks to our friends at Hungerball and the John Walker “Find Your Field of Dreams” Foundation — a fantastic free activity for kids and families to enjoy.

Before Hungerball kicks off, join us for our Manurewa AFC Club Breakfast on Saturday 16th May, running from 8:00am to 10:00am, and start the morning with the Blue and Gold community.
This is a great opportunity to meet our First Team players, Control Board, Life Members, and catch up with fellow members, supporters, and families in a relaxed club setting.

$6 for adults

Our First Team is at home at 3:00pm, making it a full day of football, fun, and club connection.

A fantastic result for the team with a dominant 5–0 win, and a very special mention to Tania, who was deservedly named Player of the Day. Playing her first game in 12 years, Tania showed incredible passion and commitment, stepping straight back into the side and performing as if she’d never been away.

We’re excited to welcome Physio Reform to Manurewa AFC, offering FREE physiotherapy services to our members right here at the club.
From Thursday 14th May, our physio Ronan will be available to support players with injury management, recovery, and general physio advice to help keep you on the field.

It was great to see both of our Junior Girls teams out on the field for the first Saturday of the season, with plenty of smiles, energy, and enjoyment on display. The players looked confident, enthusiastic, and proud to be representing Manurewa AFC in Blue and Gold — a fantastic way to kick off the season!

Manurewa AFC would like to congratulate our President and Life Member, Wayne Jensen, on receiving Honorary Membership with Northern Region Football (NRF) at last nights AGM.
This is a truly well‑deserved honour in recognition of Wayne’s long‑standing contribution to football and his dedication to our club and the wider game.
Wayne’s commitment, leadership, and service over many years have had a lasting impact on Manurewa AFC and our football community. We are incredibly proud to see his efforts acknowledged at a regional level.

💙💛 What a Way to Kick Off Community Football 2026! 💛💙

Our first weekend of community football for 2026 was full of energy, excitement, and incredible club spirit, and it was fantastic to see War Memorial Park buzzing again. From our youngest Small Whites, through our Juniors, Junior Girls teams, and Youth sides, the fields were alive with smiles, learning, and players enjoying being back out there with their teams.
It was great to welcome both new and returning players and families to the club, all proudly wearing Blue and Gold and supporting one another across the park. Weekends like this are a reminder of what community football is all about — teamwork, development, fun, and connection.
Well done to all players, coaches, volunteers, referees, and supporters who helped make the opening weekend such a success.
