Kei te aha, Waipapa Taumata Rau? Good afternoon all.

Short and sweet update about this community's 2019 to present cohort. There's minutiaue that's being ironed out regarding student creative work and IP. This was consistent with what was communicated as far back as January this year, and there may be an opportunity to tie this in with University of Auckland Sport's imminent opening of the new Recreation and Wellness Centre this semester.

Any remaining executives from said cohorts are to continue engaging with University representatives in good faith regarding any issues which have arisen from their time on campus.

Kia kaha, Aotearoa!

Official Notice: 1 July 2024, UoA-MSC 18/07/2024

Good morning,

A meeting was held on the 14th of July, 2024 for the Club [as linked: http://eepurl.com/iSYpDI ]. Quorum was not reached and has subsequently seen the meeting adjourned for this weekend. Please sign up via the form in the Mailchimp update or via bio.link/UoAmotorsportNZ

Correspondence with membership saw the mention of the sociopolitical climate in university campuses the world over being inconducive to process innovation for at least the past 8 years.

Executive can justifiably apportion this nature ot the academic environment to the financial difficulties which these institutions have been faced with as of late, and may have seen proactive—but uncollegial—internal retaliatory action which saw a sequential zero-sum outcome toward this student group, expressly traceable to the academically unjustified disabling of the Club's Instagram account during May of last year. Other related matters considered include information provided to the Club about conduct from University of Auckland Community Members and Student Association Leadership from at least 2017, information which supports the claim(s) above.

However, none of this information is verifiable unless further resources are allocated to the process. Doing so falls outside the scope of this campus community's objects; despite members of this greater campus motoring collective engaging in comparable uncollegial behaviour; and subsequently seeing redundant, previously alluded to low value-add conduct from the University's pencil-pushing staff—many of whom not having turned a wheel/handlebars in competition—much less in a grassroots motorsport format.

The University of Auckland Motorsport Club Grand Prix format has now been withheld until an appropriate date due to the reasons outlined above, and any remaining executives are exploring internal mediation with any parties to the situation above.

Mā te wā.

Kia ora everyone.

Semester 1, 2024 has hopefully been a fruitful endeavour for all in the community.

The cards regarding the Club, the Accord, and other miscellaneous matters have been more or less laid out internally in University of Auckland channels.

Remaining leadership have had anecdotal exchanges with alumni as recently as the final day of undergraduate classes yesterday, and would ultimately like to pursue pathways which have been implicitly identified at minimal disruption to everyone with final assessments and exams beginning next week.

Please stay safe during King's Birthday Weekend.

Epoch 01 Roundup: Motorsport Club, The University of Auckland (2024+) 29/04/2024

Good morning,

Find herewithin—https://eepurl.com/iOHFK6—significant commentary on the motoring, motorsport, and educational affairs at University of Auckland - Waipapa Taumata Rau (The University / UoA), its suborganisations (e.g. What's On at the University of Auckland), relevant third-party community groups, and matters revolving around The University of Auckland Motorsport Club (UoA Motorsport / UoA-MSC) as defined by the UoA-MSC Accord.

Further to the above, The University has cordially reminded its community members of developments regarding intellectual property, copyright (please web search said terms along with "UoA Research Hub"). These are avenues any remaining executive would like to collegialy explore with relevant members of UoA.

Shared with respect to relevant social contracts, including but not limited to section 267 of New Zealand's Education and Training Act 2020.

Ata mārie,

Find below a summary of what was collegialy and expressly communicated to the University of Auckland's Club Support/Student Groups team.

31st of January, 2024: The Accord's promulgation.

23rd of February, 2024: Outreach to new UoA Student Groups-Campus Life (UoA-SG-CL) leadership regarding the above. Further validation of The University of Auckland Motorsport Club (UoA Motorsport), as discussed in the Accord, being separate from any other student group in The University of Auckland (The University).

1st of March, 2024: Summary of the matters above communicated to members who were happy for leadership to continue with the processes described in The Accord.

Present Day, 2024:

- Executives past and present engaged internally regarding matters pertaining to the Club.
- No response received from UoA-SG-CL as of writing.
- Correspondences sent—and received—from other motoring-themed groups on campus which highlight potential violations of The University's internal policies.
- Multiple parties in The University of Auckland's community confirmed to be expressly aware of the violations highlighted.
- Conduct which have a sufficiently close relation and resemblance to the violations above more or less continue to take place, particularly those directed toward Club leadership.
- An initial assessment of all of the above has been forwarded to the Club via University of Auckland I.T. systems/services, i.e. University staff are technically privy to—and may have potentially acted on—information which has not been approved for promulgation.

In light of the above, including the publically-available UoA-SG-CL schedule recommendations for Clubs (as per images), the lack of correspondence from said University sub-unit, and the generally poor—and arguably bad faith—implementation of The University's policies/principles/mission; Club leadership has had to be very tactical and strategic with how it conducted itself in the year thus far.

A complete assessment of the above is being consolidated. Worthwhile considering other publications of the parties to the matter above in the meantime.

Thank you,
The University of Auckland Motorsport Club

Please check your emails for further information on what was discussed from the 26th of February, 2024 post.

This includes clarification on where official correspondence shall originate from, i.e. from previously communicated [@]UoAmotorsportNZ channels, e.g. those listed in https://bio.link/UoAmotorsportNZ, [email protected], and more recently, [email protected].

Once matters discussed with all parties involved are resolved to a reasonable standard, and the green light to kick things off for 2024 is given, the Club will get back in touch with membership.

AGM Pt. 3: The UoA-MSC Accord. Click through to accept Terms & Conditions, as per Constitution and Rules of The University of Auckland Motorsport Club 25/02/2024

Published as a matter of public interest under Section 267 of the Education and Training Act 2020: https://us21.campaign-archive.com/?u=bdfa33e7d80919f1bc06b41cb&id=e2485a0a62

Initially promulgated to members of the University of Auckland Motorsport Club (UoA Motorsport) on the 25th of January, 2024; with the University of Auckland's relevant management having been made expressly aware of the matters discussed since the 31st of January, 2024.

This release simultaneously serves as a notice of UoA Motorsport having no current and express affiliation with other University of Auckland groups—particularly those who have chosen to uncollegially adopt its title—beyond what is discussed in the Accord.

Past and present core executives have been engaged with respect to all matters above. Beyond the correspondence received by membership from direct UoA Motorsport channels (including Gmail, Mailchimp, profiles on Meta, Snapchat, and Twitter/X), no express statements have been communicated to members by executives prior to this public service announcement.

University of Auckland parties tasked with this week's Club Expo have been internally reached out to in order to explore how to appropriately remedy what has been a multi-year campus-community exercise in justifying de facto regulatory malice customary in academia, e.g. parties in campus intentionally violating the Universities Code of Conduct in order to prompt potential executive escalation in any manner of internal formal process which the University and its favoured groups essentially have a monopoly over.

Sensitive supporting evidence for the claims made in the Accord is being consolidated for internal review, including—for example—how course-related discussions between executives and their lecturers in University platforms may have been constructively used to justify access restrictions to essential Club services; including its primary bank account, its Instagram account, and its LinkedIn profile.

The communication channels which the University has chosen not—or does not have the capacity—to restrict in part or in full is still available for outreach, including profiles on Twitter/X, Google Mail/Forms, Snapchat, and this page.

Multiple scenarios have been planned for in light of what's discussed, particularly with the level of sophistication displayed by all parties with an interest in the Club. Executive has indicated to these key parties—as we have consistently done so with membership and the community—that a "global optimum" is still what's being sought.

Thank you, and have a great first semester in 2024.
