This weekend Aotearoa’s top Inline Hockey players continue to battle it out with round 2 of the Inline Hockey New Zealand National Premier League hosted by the Official Hamilton Inline Hockey Club.

The mighty Rays boast quite the remarkable rookie line-up resembling what might be described as a list of applicants for a bupa retirement home.

Undefeated weekend for the team.

The first game against arch rivals Mount Wellington Panthers concluded with a draw. All eight goals scored by both sides would happen in an action packed first period followed by a game of attrition in the second period.
We were lucky enough to have traditional members of the Stingrays premier squad re-join us for this match, these Rays legends are Kevin Crammer, Ash Peters and long serving captain Brandon Johnston. Cheers Lads and best of luck for the rest of the Falcons season.
This matchup as per usual gives us a sneak peek into what semifinals hockey will look like at nationals.
Final Score: 4 - 4

The second game would see the Stingrays face off against the hosts the Hamilton Devils. The young Devil side would be lead by Captain Conner Robertson as he also leads the rebuild of one of Aotearoa’s legendary premier teams. This young team features the likes of Ryan Williams, Benoit Keast and Jayden Kwan all of whom have just returned from the hallowed Narch tournament.
It was great to have the Devils back where they belong.
