How to bike to work in the rain (and not turn up a drowned rat) About three percent of urban New Zealanders are considered “committed” bike riders, and even fewer get in the seat rain, hail or shine. But some do.

The Aotearoa Bike Challenge is less than a month away! 🚴‍♂️
Throughout February, thousands of Kiwis will be riding together for fun, fitness and getting around.

Shout out to Wade, Toby and Ella who brought a trailer load of 17 kids’ bikes on behalf of the Dingwall Trust yesterday.

About half of the bikes are serviceable; the rest will go to scrap metal. Wade and the crew also donated a number of new tire’s & inner tubes, which are always needed.

Even Santa knows the best way to get around 🎄🚲

Big mihi to Kerry and Oak Lynn Special School! 🚲💚

On Saturday, Kerry rolled into the New Lynn Bike Hub with an entire trailer-load of bikes donated from Oak Lynn Special School. 🙌

We were stoked to receive a mix of goodies, a step-through city bike, a hardtail mountain bike, BMXs, and a handful of kids’ bikes with 20-inch wheels. Kerry then carried on to scrap metal with another half dozen bikes that were well beyond repair, but not before letting us pick through them first. Legend!

We’ll do our best to get as many as we can serviced and ready in time for Christmas. 🎄✨
